I've had LCV's of mitsu and they're reliable as per experience. The current 4d56 has been made better and is very fuel efficient. Gone also is the black smoke. I've never had experience with ford but I hear that they're also reliable.

since you dont like 4x4... there is no 4x2 option for the Strada... You choose the ranger but you will surely miss the cabin space of the Strada.

Among pick-ups, mitsu and toyota have the best resale value. It's more dictated by the market. The average joe buyers have the impression that ford parts are expensive though they maybe wrong, and they think there's lower demand for ford pick-ups.
Pero mas magandang tingnan ang ranger pag naka-canopy due to the square body. I've seen quite a few here.
4x2 vs 4x4? hmmm......

Ranger... bigger bed bigger payload, the HIGHEST TORQUE rating more towing capacity, front and rear LSD's coupled with the 4WD option.
