We're planning to get a 2nd vehicle for our family of 4 (+2yaya=6) come 2010. Vehicles in mind are the following:
-Mitsubishi Grandis
-Ford Everest
Factors to consider:
-Safety
-riding comfort
-bigger interior
-Fuel consumption
-budget max of 1.3M sana
Please suggest which one would you prefer and if there are other alternatives..post in na din! Thanks in advance!
We prefer MT but also open for AT

AT 1.3? You can consider the Montero 4x2 (more comfortable than the Everest) or even the Hyundai Starex TCi (starts at 1.2m), which is really roomy. Not as nice-riding as the Montero, pero puwede na rin
. Looks good, and it has a non-CRDi turbocharged 4D56, which is relatively robust and reliable.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I agree with Niky.
Either the Mitsu Montero Sport or the Hyundai Starex.

Mas maluwang Everest in terms of legroom pero in terms of headroom mas mataas Montero. Sa Everest parang nakayuko ka na...

December 7th, 2009 05:41 PM #8The Montero is cramped in the elbowroom department especially on the 2nd row (fitting three tall people is a struggle). The Everest on the other hand has a huge interior and as described by one of the reviews, it has king sized legroom on all three rows. Ride quality is subjective though, personally I did a test drive and it was solid but wasn't bouncy. The Montero is nice and all, but not the vehicle you'd want if you were looking for space. What you're looking for is in the Grand Starex, no one can argue about that.

Thanks sa mga input!
Starex talaga first choice ko (sablay lang sa design kasi di type ni wifey) hence we're looking for a SUV/MPV type vehicle.
How about the Grandis po? Konti lang kasi nabasa ko review about it eh...

Visit these 3 in their showrooms (Fortuner, Everest 4X2s - they have M/T and last the Montero Sport 4X2 A/T only) all of them with 2.5L engines, all CRDis and all in the 1.3M price range.
Compare it yourself if you're particular on their interior because when it comes to riding comfort it's the MS hands down. But be sure to have patience falling in line.Last edited by XTO; December 7th, 2009 at 06:22 PM.
There's a lot of room. You can still fit half a battery, I think. The battery isn't the highest...
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
