Guys.. Ive decided to raise my budget to 300k max.
vios and city are my choices. Both manual and should be 1.3 engine. Main use is office only 16kms away from home, taking shaw and C5. will be dashing through it during the busiest hours
FC?
Maintenance?
Features?
Safety?
What would be a better choice from both? I find Vios easier to find than the city with Manual Tranny, probably because of its reputation being a Taxi. But parts availability is fully available.. Kahit sa SM yata makakabili ka ng parts ng Toyota.
Thanks tsikoteers.

I find the first gen Vios too small. I am a Toyota fan but between the two, I would go for the City. It's economical din naman.

Vios 1.3. Ganda ng makina - good torque and even powerband. Yung City na 1.3, ambagal.
Easier to maintain din yung Vios. If you can get the facelifted 1.3E version, even better.

December 2nd, 2013 03:32 PM #5Vios ako dito, mas madali ang maintenance plkus the fact that the styling of the 2nd gen City never really warmed up on me.

It seems that vios is leading here.. Salamat po sa mga reply..
Anu pong features meron ang vios na wala sa City and vice versa..
Medyo na amaze ako sa internal ng city na tinignan namin.
i dont have experience about the 2 cars. Hindi pa nga ako naka sakay sa Honda City. vios Oo since taxi sya. no offense, i like vios first gen.. I think i just wanted to know kung anung meron sa city na wala sa vios.
And how about air bags? Safety features?
TIA

For 300k, I'd rather spend my money on an Altis or Civic ES. Both, even in MT models, have better features than a Vios or City.

both are good cars, for looks i'll choose vios over the city gen2. just to add i find vios gen1 better looking than vios gen2.
One can only hope.
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
