Tanong lang po,
Ano ang masasabi nyo sa AVT head unit as a starter of a sound set-up. At least makakamura ako dito. How about the sound quality?

Sir , its not that im discouraging you to buy directly from china ng oem head unit, let me give you the PROS and CONS
PROS
CONS
1. most of the head unit from china are not compatible to GARMIN mobilext, yung kasamang gps navigation system nyan usually is IGO and ang map nya is for manila lang... mas accurate pa din ang garmin with philippine map from OSM or roadguide.ph
2. Warranty: they offer 1 year warranty pero ikaw ang magcocover ng shipping papunta at pabalik... average shipping rates from china is $60 to $80 depende sa laki ng box.
3. Taxes, usually ang tax dyan inaabot between P1500 to P3000 kasama na vat po dyan. Kapag EMS ang ginamit mas mura ang shipping pero sa post office kapag kinuha mo na parcel mo...kailangan pa mag under the table para lang makuha yung items. Naranasan ko yan ng mag binili ako from china na worth $100 lang, sinisingil ako ng P2500, pero pag walang resibo P1k na lang daw... i need to bring a friend pa na kakilala nung tao duon
5. Add P600 to P1500 for installation charge (depende po sa shop)
b. Installation is FREE na din, and you'll know na sigurado ka sa pagkakakabit becuase sa mismong shop mo din binili.
price range ng mga oem head unit po dito sa pinas is 28k to 30k well depende pa din po sa shop... some are selling it in a much higher price

Im not sure if the AVT head unit has the same built in amplifier sa ibang universal head units like Lightning Lab... usualy 4x45W or 4x50W... naiimprove na din po kahit papaano sound quality ng stock spealer.
sa starter sound setup, Separates (speaker with tweeters) , rear speaker, 4channel amplifier and wiring kit is already ok... kung hindi mo naman kailangan na bumabayo you dont have to get a sub... pwede mo muna itry yung ganyang setup... then upgrade na lang with a sub in the future. Para din masulit yung amp and new sets of speakers, you also need a crossover... universal head units usually ay hindi pa po high volt...
AVT head units or universal head units are available at Tsikot Shop Taguig, you can ask for a free consultation kay jon aka tsikotshop para maguide ka din po sa setup mo.

thanks sa payo broJedi....kung tutuusin, ok talaga bibili ng HU locally because of warranty at me konting trouble...madaling ibalik at maipaayos...

July 31st, 2011 01:06 AM #787Content with keeping it simple --
HU: Alpine x305
Front Seps: Focal Poly 165vr 6'' 2-way
Rear Stage: Focal Poly 165cvx Coax
No custom wiring, No touch screens, No Amps, No Subs, No tv/video.. just clear sound quality.
dont know if it is just me, but its completely annoying to hear loud booming sounds with drowned treble & vocals,
specially those without sound deadening ( a great majority of cheap setups I hear in the streets are without)
its like a huge rattling metal vibrator on wheelssounds more like "voong voong voong" instead of Booom!
