Medyo biaseda ko toward Fentons (especially with their lifetime warranties).
But now I'm using a Taiwan V12 to power my 10" sub and seps. Ok naman. Especially considering I bought the amp for Php 2,700.00 (second hand). Mas ok pa siya kaysa sa Kenwood amp na gamit ko.

May 15th, 2003 08:42 PM #34Good deal yan Otep!!
:D :D :D
IMO, I like the older v12s (silver with blue strip) over the new ones. The new ones look flashy to me... pero kung tatago mo under the seat...k lang.

May 20th, 2003 04:14 PM #35i have an alpine v12, 1000 watts i bought it last year sa banawe, i use it to power my 1 pair of 12" orion cobalt series subs, 1 year ko na gamit, kahit kelan di pa pumapalya, nagagalit nga kapit bahay namin umaalog daw bahay nila hehehehe. Last year pumunta ako trans port show, majority ng mga sumasali gamit alpine v12 na taiwan, solo barics pa pinatatakbo!, ni-rerecommend nila alpine v12, kahit peke sulit daw!

fentons are more clear sounding amps than v12s, yet they have the price to boost. just don't expect too much power though.

I had those "fake" Alpine V12 amps before, the MRV-F504 (dark gray with Alpine badging on a blue stripe) and the MRV-F705 (silver with Alpine badging on a blue stripe).
Urban legend goes that the earlier V12s were produced by an Alpine subcontractor in Korea that went rogue.
For me, the earlier dark gray one was more "orig" and had better materials inside.

March 16th, 2008 05:20 AM #39I have a V12 705 feeding my kicker L5 12 bought the V12 for Only 2500 pesos and its already 1000 watts but i doubt that its 1000 watts i think its overrated but its ok for as long as im happy with its performance then so be it.
bottom line is if you are in a tight budget V12 is the way to go.
here's the amplifier:

Fake V12 amps * Banawe are priced at 2,500 lang. Last year na price ito. Not sure if nagtaas na sila. At any rate, V12s will do if you have no intentions of joining an audio competition or just want a basic upgrade. Of course, if you're on a tight budget as well. I have two v12 amps that powers my focal seps and kicker subs. I'm quite satisfied
It's about 1 cm longer than the 3SM and about 4 cm longer than the DIN74. And it's also in the 10k...
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
