There is an AUX mode when you switch modes on the head unit.
But where is the AUX cable or at least aux port where I can plug in the external music player?
The manual is of no help on this one...Do in need to tear the head unit off the dash to access it?
Thanks.

So I'm guessing the AUX feature is just a hoax?

On the Picanto I did have to remove the head unit to access the Aux port (RCA cable) and I got the appropriate cable.
But the Ford head unit is the built in variety and seems to be a total pain to remove.
Makes me wonder why they just didn't include clear instructions about the feature. Sheesh...

After three months I can finally answer my own question.
The AUX-IN RCA Jacks are located BEHIND the head unit. You will need to buy a baby jack to RCA wire in order to use the AUX IN function.
The wire is available in ACE Hardware for around Php100.00. But I only had a more expensive Belkin wire lying around so I opted to use that.
To remove the head unit, you have to remove the two screws above the gauge cluster. The you PULL the whole thing out. Gauge cluster trim, the radio surround and climate controls come out as one assembly. Better have an assistant.
As I did not opt to disconnect the climate control wiring, I needed a lot of patience to pull the unit out. I did not have the head unit removal tool so I just forced it with my screwdriver (it worked), trying to pry the unit from between the dashboard and trim I just removed was a total pain.
I then inserted the cables to the RCA jacks and routed it to the glove box. Reassembled everyting and tested it out. It works! hehehe.
Btw, the HU is by Panasonic and is made in Taiwan. There are no RCA outs for installing an amp and despite the odd shape of the head unit facade, the actual head unit inside the dash is your normal 2 DIN shape.
