2010 BMW 5-series
Spy photographers have spotted a prototype of the upcoming BMW 5-series while out testing in Munich. Set to bow in early 2010, the 6th generation 5-series — codenamed F10 — is being overseen by BMW’s head designer, Adrian van Hooydonk.
The next-generation 5-series is expected to feature an eight-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drive option being available. A range of engines will be available in the 5-series and wagon and M5 versions will follow about a year after the car's initial introduction.
The new 5 will also have Park Distance Control and an around view monitor system, similar to Infiniti's

The F10 5 Series will be equipped with a new 8-speed electronic automatic transmission, optional all-wheel-drive and engine ranging from six petrol engines, 2.5-liter 218hp to 4.4 liter V8 twin-turbo with 408hp and four diesels ranging from 2.0 liter 175hp to 3.0 liter 300hp.
Looks like the regular top 5-series will be a twin-turbo V8!

the front grille looks way way better then the current 5 series. guess the current 5 series will only have a 6 year run unlike the e39 series where it had a 10 year run(mid90s upto 2004).

I dunno but I still like the e60 body more than this.
It's wilder, it's a venture into the unknown. A lot of BMW fans (from the older generation age group) dissed it but it's one of the highest selling 5-series to date. :D
