Left San Fernando, Pampanga just after 5:00am. Reached San Fernando City, La Union, around 9am. We had breakfast at the Oasis Country Resort.

Left SFU at around 10:15am and encountered a lot of roadwork going on (several one-lane portions on the National Road; expect more in the coming months -- the concrete roads have already been punctured). By 12:02pm, we were in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

We arrived in Vigan proper at around 1:45pm. Darn road work. 3.5 hours?!?! :nono:

Had lunch at Max's Restaurant and went around Heritage Village, bought a few items.

Left Vigan at around 4:20pm and proceeded to Fort Ilocandia in Laoag. We were in Batac at around 5:30pm. Arrived at Fort Ilocandia at around 6:20pm.

The next day, I drove to Pagudpud with my wife and kids (we left our companions -- 2 other families) at Fort Ilocandia. It took us around 1 hour and 45 minutes because of heavy rains all the way until the welcoming Arch. While we were swimming, the sun was up but it was also raining lightly. The water was not cold but it wasn't warm either. It was perfect! Except of course for the endless see weeds that were continously being brought to shore by the winds.

So, after only an hour of swimming, we had to get back dahil ayaw kong abutan ng dilim sa daan, at magsisimba pa kami sa Laoag. Kaso, we were more than an hour early, sabi kasi sa akin 4pm ang anticipated mass. 5pm pa pala. Tapos na-late pa ng kalahating oras yung pari.

Anyway, on the way back the next day, I made my wife take note of all the gas stations along the way dahil balak kong i-share dito sa tsikot. I hope may matutulungan ang ginawa kong listahan.

Please PM me your email address if you want a list of all gas stations from URDANETA to LAOAG, with a few in La Paz, Tarlac about 9.2kms after SCTEX.

Grabe! ang sakit sa binti yung pag-akyat pa lang sa cross na yan. yung vertical part, yan yung stairs, yung horizontal part naman ng cross, that's the chapel (left and right wing)... *ngarcia have you tried climbing along that 300+ (i guess yung ang sabi nila, pero I forgot the exact number of steps of the stair, binilang ko yung eh - kaya lang pagdating ko sa tuktok, nakalimutan ko na sa hingal ko ...Hehehehe)...

Hmmm... gusto ko rin yatang bumalik for the 4th time sa Mt.
