There are some Megs shampoos which are more affordable:

The 64oz Deep Crystal shampoo is only P750. Dilution ratio is the same as Gold Class, 1:128
The 1 gallon Hyperwash is P2500+, but the dilution ratio is 1:400, so a little goes a very long way. Tipid pa rin in the long run.

    Gold Class vs. Hyperwash

If the Gold class had a 1 gallon version, it would cost about P3000. Hyperwash is still cheaper gallon for gallon. For the dilution ratio, I usually use about 50 ml to 6.4 liters of water for the Gold Class (1:128). But, if I use Hyperwash, the same 50ml would be diluted to about 20 liters of water, about 1 pail (1:400).

Since, 6.4 liters is more than enough for me to wash the whole car, I only have to use 16ml of Hyperwash.

I usually foam my car first before washing it with the shampoo (prewash foam lance). The foam ratio I use for the Gold Class is 1:10, to make it foam. I pour 50ml of Gold Class to 500ml of warm water. If I use Hyperwash, I would only use 16ml of it to make it foam.

So, in 1 washing schedule, I would only use 32ml of Hyperwash as compared to 100ml of Gold Class. If I wash my car every week, Hyperwash would last me for around 2 years! For the Gold class, it will go kaput in about 4 1/2 months!

Damn! I'm sold! I''ll just finish this bottle of Gold Class before buying this one.

Just note that Gold Class still has the best lubricity among the Megs shampoos (in my experience). Kaya siguro mahal.

For foam cannons, I always use Hyper since it's the most economical. I use Gold Class sometimes for my bucket wash, but I pretty much use all 3 (GC, Hyper, Deep Crystal) alternately. Can't go wrong with any of them IMO.

According to this poster at detailing world:

"They are the same! only difference is the dye and hyper wash is 3* concentrated, look at the ingredients on the megs site"

gold class or Hyper Wash? - Detailing World

I guess they are identical, except for the dye and concentration.

Interesting. If true, then that makes Hyperwash even more of a value!

I think the hyperwash is really catered for the detailing business and according to them, since it's professional grade, one must be careful on the concentration ratio.

What is your car shampoo?
