Help po mga car gurus, do I have to glass coat a brand new car?
There are so many inclusions which I don't think I need since it will be fresh out of the dealer.

Also, can you recommend a fairly priced yet quality shop?

    Thank you so much!

I think these things are nice, but will it protect the paint finish from "UFO" stone chips? Yun ba tipong kung saan lang tumalsik... tingin ko no defense din yan.

Sa akin lang ha, save the cash for a hilamos 3-5 years down the road. (I repeat, opinion ko lang naman)

Im in the same band with you regarding hilamos after a few years instead of ceramic coating. Wax is more than enough for me.

Madalas uncontrollable instance ang nakakadali sa car paint.

Glass Coating is the new Undercoat / Rust Proofing scheme ...

First time drivers and those who don't have dedicated parking slots at home and work don't need this ... You'll eventually have dings, scratches and dents on your vehicle ...

An alternative to expensive glass coating offered by your dealer would be ceramic coating by a reputable auto detailing shop like Technical Details. The detailing shop can also inspect the quality of your new car's paint, e.g. whether it got thinner due to irresponsible car waxing/polishing by the dealer, if paint correction is needed (some new cars do need it surprisingly). I highly recommend you bring your new car to a detailing shop asap. Don't let the car dealer ruin your car's paint by letting them wash and polish your brand new car.

Ceramic coating is just like applying wax to your car's paint, providing a more durable protection against acid rain, tree saps and other stuff than can easily damage the car's paint. Be wary of claims that ceramic coating can provide protection against paint chips, dings and scratches. It won't (clear bra can).

Ceramic coating can last up to two years for a single layer application. You still need to wash your car regularly and remove rubbish like tree sap and bird droppings to keep the coating from deteriorating.

The least expensive option would be to regularly wax your car and wash it properly.

Thanks again Boss Jo and Walter!
I want to try Ceramic coating but there are so many freebies which I think I don't need.
I inquired at Shimmer and Shield with a price of 10.5k - worth it po ba?

Clear bra is out of budget
