Currently looking for a cheap but quality buffing machine. Napapagod na kasi ako imano-mano wax yung van namin. Any suggestion? Max budget around 5k-ish. But better kung may 4k below na mapapakinabangan ng pang-matagalan. And please kindly enlightened me about this machine. Thanks in advance.

I saw the cheapest one at Shopwise, in the P 1700 range - orbital buffer/polisher.
I have an identical one which Walmart sells for ~$26 including tax so it would end up around P 1250.

It comes with a sponge applicator bonnet and a microfiber polishing bonnet. Decent enough to give the car a good shine. I like the sponge bonnet since it spreads out the product evenly. I also find it quite efficient because the head has a non-absorbent backing which keeps the product on the sponge - I use just half a sachet of product (around 15ml) for a mid-size sedan. The microfiber bonnet is also ok, though I find I need to pat it off every now and then to remove the accumulated product and keep the fibers loose.
Am I satisfied with it? Yes. I end up using it every six weeks to reapply wax. It's cheap but I do not see the need right now to get a more upscale one. My detailing routine takes a shorter time with the polisher than without. This even if I still need to do some areas by hand since the 10-inch head cannot access them.
Is it hard to use? Put it this way - I get equally tired using the polisher as detailing manually alone. My back doesn't hurt as much using the polisher though since I do not bend over as long, but my arms get more tired because of the machine's vibration. Not sure if this is inherent to orbital buffers or if a pricier one vibrates less. But then again, I'm probably much older than youLast edited by corbon44; March 8th, 2016 at 02:48 PM.

My neighbor uses a non dual action polisher on his van. It seems to work. He seems to like it. He uses collinite for boats lol.
I would use a liquid wax if no polisher is used.
