Does refrigerant brand matter(KLEA,Kalton,Doowon) in the effectiveness in the air conditioning system? Is one brand better than the other?

I think its like buying fuel. The better one is usually the most expensive one. In terms of freon. The quality lies in the mixture of refrigerant and oil and the quality of type of oil and of course its purity.

A bad quality freon would have a very small percentage of air and other gases along the refrigerant.

I think its just a grammar misconception..

Good Quality = no impurities such as air and other different gases. It should only have Refrigerant freon+Oil.
Bad Quality = Has small percentage of impurities.
Really Bad Qaulity = Has large amount of impurities including rust hence aircon will never get really cold and lines will get clogged up and mess with other components such as the condenser (Holes and lines of condenser are very small and dirt can clog this easily).

Sometimes people just use old empty freon tanks which contains already rust inside! This rust will go into your system. Then you begin to wonder.. Bakit ayaw lumamig aircon ko? Lolz

To prevent this there is a freon filter used for charging.. Then again most or no airconshops consider this.

Kaya best way to fill and recharge your airconditioning unit is DIY. Get your equipments such as own vacuum pump, gauge, tank and filter.
This price will not exceed 6k php. And in my opinion it's worth it. Since you can recharge your own Aircon (if its 134A as well),Ref,other cars and your own car at home. So its really worth having one. And of course a good trusted place to buy clean contaminant free freon refrigerant.

The scam lies is that you cannot see what's really inside their tank or your tank. Even the hoses are colored.

No. types of refrigerants does. Ammonia is the best because of high boiling point.

Efficiency to cool is the method of measurement. That now depends on the design of the system and the machines.
