Had some aircon issues lately that cost me 14K so far to fix with the freelancers at MRV aircon supply (check the thread out for the backstory) but still had a nagging problem with leaks that cost me time and moneyin backjobs that I gave up on them and sought out Cool Attack to somehow ssolve the problem once and for all.
Akala ko nasa Home Depot compound ito... wala pala dun. I asked the staff at Big Bert's kung alam nila yun and they told me thay had no clue.. Paikot ikot ako with still no luck so I gave up... then nung palabas nako ng Home Depot palabas ng Julia Vargas I saw a tarp ad for a car interior specialist. I drove out to J Vargas, began to turn right to Lanuza when I saw Cool Attack.
Napakakitid ng pasukan sa loob, at napakasikip ng lugar, and they were working on another car at that time ( a Red ES Civic), but William was able to have someone look intomy car right away. They saw the leaks I was suspecting, but it turns out the leaks were in the places where the MRV freelancers weren't looking at all. THe fittings on the hoses didn't have teflon on them so the gas leaked out from them slowly, there was a large leak at the compressor switch that cost me P250, then the mechanic asked if I wanted for them to take a look at the evaporator again. I knew it didn't have leaks on it per se, but oil was all over the housing, something was definitely wrong somewhat so I gave them permission to take a look, TO my surprise the reason it was leaking oil was that they were still using R12 fittings for the expansion valve near the evaporator which is inadequate for R134a. They brazed a compatible fitting to the aluminum pipes, wrapped teflon on all threads and charged KLEA R134a to the system. It went ICE COLD immediately and unlike those bozos at MRV who "charged" the refrigerant slowly, it was just one charge and it worked like a charm. Gave me suspicions that they may have been charging fake R134a to my system at MRV.
The bill? 1600 for everything including labor. Was so happy I gave the mechanic a tip of a hundred bucks. He definitely deserved it. It's been almost a week now and the lower edge of the windshield builds up condensation due to the cold even on a hot afternoon, it's that cold. Kudos to william for bringing in topnotch people who know their stuff, I was in and out of there in about an hour. The earlier customer had to have a compressor replaced I think that's why they were able to work on my car while she waited for the replacement surplus compressor. William acted as a gracious host to keep her company (hehe) while I didn't have to be attended to because I had the kumander with me.
Anyway, please visit his shop and give him more business so that he can move to a larger place hehe...The nice thing about all this is that while I was about to pay, he was making this index card for my customer record so that he'll have a record of my car and what they did to it before, just like a doctor's records...so they'll always know what they did on it last time.
COOL ATTACK AIRCON: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Been there yesterday. At first, hesitant ako to call the number kasi baka nga hindi okay gumawa but since malapit sa cainta area I took the chance. By the way, nagbago na yung number nya sa shop. Nadeactivate daw yung isang number after the Ondoy. Here's the new number 7483327. Joey Dela Cruz Aircon Shop: Highly Recommended!

*kamote, sir i'm from taguig din pero kay mang joey ako nagpupunta. though meron sa likod na malapit lang sa amin, Paul's Car Aircon Specialist yung name ng shop, around 50meters ata pagkanan from Levi B. Mariano Ave.. yung bagong daan from C5... a few meters pa, Taguig City Hall na. Pa-cleaning lang pinagawa ko dati dyan, kaya di ko pa masyado ma-gauge yung quality of work if may iba pang papagawa. Try mo na lang sir if you want na mas malapit. Then let us know your feedback. ;)
*techy, thanks sa update ng contact #. i'm due na rin for cleaning/check up.
Agree with you there. Nicely put.
