Hi. Tumawag ako sa V-kool kanina, hindi ko na nakuha yung name ng kausap ko pero lalaki. 2 out of the 3 branches yung binigay niya sakin kasi yung una dahil malapit, at yung pangalawa dahil may tinting room. Wala pa silang formal quotation sa type ng car namin, so wrap-around ng Fortuner nalang ang hiningi ko. ~19,000 ang bigay sakin, one piece tint sa windshield tapos no scrapings (ano to?). Pero the best syempre yung pumunta para masukatan talaga.

Saan kayo nagpakabit? Yung malapit samin yung sa Cubao, Pony's (not sure sa spelling) Autoworks sa Auto Centro, kaso walang tinting room. Ok lang kaya? Ang pinakamalapit (at nag-iisa ata) na may tinting room ay yung sa ESL Automotive, kaso San Juan na. Kung kayo, sasadyain niyo pa ba yung sa San Juan para sa tinting room? Coming from Tandang Sora, Q.C., malapit sa Berkeley Square.

The easiest way is to get there is to go to Shaw Blvd. near Honda Shaw and the Shell Station. A. Mabini is the street next to the Shell Station (NOT the one beside Honda). Ang suggestion ko, since installing V-Kool tint is a big investment, have it installed at San Juan where there's a tint room to minimize dust contamination.

Vkool can go anywhere from 17,000 - 19,000.00 for the fortuner.

There is also Polar Tint ( Finland ) that offers clear tints that have a very high heat rejection - 92-96%.

We have an air-purified tint room located in Makati if it is any convinient.

Tapos na yung 10 days curing period, so pinunasan na namin kanina yung mga areas na may tint. Since natanggal na yung mga smudges, at luminaw na yung mga salamin, kitang kita na yung mga problema.

a. 25% nung windshield may mga bubbles na may laman sa loob. Parang gamosa kasi yung material ng a-pillar, so may mga lumipad na particles tapos naipit.

b. Dun sa 4 na bintana, hindi pantay yung mga upper border. Daig pa ng free tint nung Honda namin. May ilang mga bubbles din. Yung iba may laman sa loob, yung iba wala.

c. Yung 1 sa 4 na bintana, may mahaba at malalim na scratch.

d. Yung salamin sa likod (cargo), umangat yung dugtungan.

e. Maraming hairline scratches.

Anyways, tatawag ulit ako sa main office bukas para magreklamo. Nakakadisappoint kasi poor workmanship talaga. Mahigit 4 hours ginawa tapos ganyan ang naging result. Hassle din kasi kailangan pang ibalik yung sasakyan.

Btw, kapag tinanggal ba yung tint may possibility na masugatan yung mga salamin? Thanks.

The problems you listed with your tint done at that branch, is exactly what I experienced on mine. Exacto. Cguro kaya pala mas mura sila sa 3M kasi bulok pala ang pagkakabit. They will not change the tint even if there are small isolated bubbles/particles/spots on the tint. Tawag ko dyan ay "patak-patak". These are very much like dead pixels in LCD screens. If there are many bubbles concentrated on one area, they will replace the tint. At wag ka magpapalit ng tint sa may rear defogger kasi pagtangal ng tint even the small wires glued to the window might come off also kasi lakas ng pagkapit ng tint sa salamin.

Ouch... Malayo yung San Juan branch actually, kaso may tinting room kaya sinadya namin. Based on your statement, mukhang sa windshield lang sila walang kawala saka dun sa may mahaba at malalim na scratch. Tignan natin bukas kung anong mangyayari. Thanks for the tip re: rear defogger. Share sana ako ng mga pics, kaso hindi makita.

Whew! Ang tagal na nung huli kong post at ngayon lang naayos yung problema. Nakailang tawag kami, at napakaraming palusot ang ibinigay samin. Kesyo walang gagawa, kesyo hiniram yung gagawa, kesyo walang materials, etc. Actually, hindi pa dapat gagawin kanina, kaso nung tumawag kami yesterday sabi namin basta dadalhin namin yung sasakyan at dun nalang mag-usap dahil napapagod na kaming tumawag at sayang ang effort at panahon.

Bale ang naging arrangement, refund yung windshield tapos pinalitan yung may mahabang scratch sa likod. Hassle talaga!

yung sakin din halos ganyan yung mga defect

1. yung bubbles na hindi matanggal, although nung summer (May) pa ako nagpakabit
yung ibang bubbles may laman pa, parang dust particles.

2. may mga scratches din dahil sa paghagod nila nung tint para lumapat, kelangan daw kasi nila diinan, ang excuse nila may masyado daw curved yung windows ko, may basehan kaya tong reason na to?

nagpapalit ako dati ng tint all-around the vehicle south of alabang (they're quite known in the area) at hindi nadamage ung defogger sa likod though the owner said that there really is a risk that it might come off. medyo natagalan nga lang ung gumawa but its worth it binigyan ko na lang malaking tip afterwards..

I went to this shop 7flags in Pasong Tamp, Makati, owner Ms. Eden- two weeks ago to have my tint done as most stores in Singapore tint cars in an air-conditioned room to help ease off the dust. I agree on this principle but refuse to believe on the service. I had my car tinted with Polar brand which they told me was better than 3M. Fine, after a week I encountered some bubbles so I headed back there and could'nt believe that the store closed down. They charged me 12,000 pesos and they went out of business. I met the landlord who said that they left without notice and have dissapeared in thin air. I also purchased xenon lights and they gave me a warranty for both items which is now useless. Before you look for a shop, find out how long have they been there, I guess thats the first thing you ask before you decide to service your car.

I highly recommend this shop la cars as the manager is a foreigner and they have been in business for more than 4 years. They had Rike cool tint which was originally what I was looking for. They use this tint in Singapore and Malaysia as it has good heat rejection. They apparently were the first tint rooms in the country and they did a great job with my cars. Their prices are just a little more but trust me, its a pay and smile for good service just like back home. They even have a customer lounge while your car is being tinted.

yep, clear lang vkool.... yung iba raw, pinapatungan nila ng solar guard na may shade.

Vkool does have dark shades too such as Medium Dark and Medium Neutral for customers that require privacy and top of the line heat rejection.
