How about using anthropometric data to design an interior that accomodates the 99 percentile male and 1 percentile woman? The books available have measurements of Americans.

ui prototype na! ok naman pala ang head room ya pag 5"11 ang height ng manikin na fit na fit. yung meaning ba ng "lower the seat rails" is lower the seats? hindi ba mahirap na ang ingress/egress? kasi pag mababa masyado mababa eh baka sumalpak na ang tuhod ng driver sa steering wheel.. ewan ko correct me if im wrong.. and btw maganda yang mababa ang ceiling kasi mas sporty ang dating. parang kotse.. hehe

there's actually enough space. I used ehnriko's mannequin from the fuv he posted in google 3d warehouse - it fits inside. we can lower the seat rails if we want more headroom. i-scale ko lang yan okay na kung kailanagan.

just finished a draft next gen OTJ design.
based on existing OTJ platform technology pero totally new exterior appearance. syempre soft top pa rin but it will have optional shoulder height light doors. 15 inch tires. 2700 mm wheelbase.

Nice. I see the influence of the Hummer and the VW Type 181 / Thing in your design. A major improvement over OTJs. Interchangeable front and rear doors saves on tooling. I'd rather see this kind of vehicle on the streets rather than another Hummer replica. Sana merong convertible version (like the Type 181).

One comment though - rugged vehicles should have high ground clearance.

Not bad for a beginner. A few comments (from a non-expert):

1) Bottom of windshield too high. Affects visibility.

2) How does a triangular window open? Triangular / trapeziodal motifs at the side clashes with circular / rectangular elements at the front. Try using trapezoidal elements at the front.

3) Front end design too complex and does not merge well with the hood.

4) The area at the side between the front and rear fenders looks empty. Add a horizontal character line (see Oyil's design). Or if you're adventurous, make it a sloping character line (since the rear fender already slopes down towards the front).

5) Tilt the side windows and pillars inward at the top (tumblehome).

Keep at it and soon you'll be as good in auto design as Tsikoteers Oyil and Ehnriko.

Since OTJ's are 3 door utes... Sa tingin mo ano better size nya? Same din ba sa long wheelbase of the 90's? or same length and size sa FJ Cruiser?

Hello po.. im new here sa thread na to... meron din po kasi akong OTJ and nasa btangas po sya ngaun kasi dun ko pina repair.. pingawa ko po yung electrical,upholstery,buffing...and nag babalak po akong pinturahan yung underchasis tsaka yung rim. after mailabas sa pagawaan. and Gus2 ko lang po panu po ba mapapa lowered ang owner...thanks...post ko po yung pic after mailabas sa pagawaan..
