sana may tao pa dito sa thread na ito. eto na po yung mga jeep na pinagmamalaki ko dito samin. hehe. sa side nga lang kasi nasa sasakyan ako pag take ko ng picture. at medyo di klaro. sirry po. try ko picturan yun naka parada dito. na post ko na rin to sa kabilang thread eh. as i previously said, an otj can be built using the front or hood or whatever u call it of this thing:
and i'll try to sketch an otj with the same (or another one, but inspired by) the front of this PUJs.. di kasi ako magaling mag drawing pero gagawin ko talaga ang lahat! hehe!

    *JJCarEnthusiast -

Rest assured there are several people in this subforum. Most are in lurker mode, though. Also, we were temporarily sidetracked by ehnriko's situation in Riyadh. However, he is now safely back in Manila and development efforts are expected to regain momentum from here on.

ah buti naman. what do u think bout that jeepney i posted? ok po ba yun pang next gen ng OTJ? di nga lang masyado klaro ang pic na yun. debale makakakuha rin ako ng mas malinaw na pix. ok cguro yun gawing otj gawin lang mas maganda ang rear nya. like the fenders should be made bigger etc. gagamitin ko nalang yung google sketchup ko(kakadownload ko lang) para mag design ng otj.

    thanks po sir.

Medyo malabo nga ang pic. If you can post clearer photos showing all the details, it would help a lot.

By the way, it is good you are using sketchup. Most of the group members use that.

And if you are based in MetroManila, just PM dprox (the forum moderator) for details of our mini-EBs.

^ That's a great concept OTJ, oyil. Reminds one of the first generation Hummers but is an original. Long wheelbase will allow more passenger and luggage space and will improve the ride (less pitching motion). Just one comment: headroom.

To all local vehicle manufacturers, your path to salvation begins with adopting a fresh design. And oyil's concept is a good place to start.

OyiL, that's doable, even on the old OTJ platform.
Add headroom, as suggested by donbuggy by raising the ceiling by 5cm.

NB: Should we consult the rest of the Tsikot Design roundtable
if your images should remain in the forum?

I guess we go back to our basic guidelines - if we plan to implement it, then best we go offline. If not, then let it remain here for the viewing pleasure of others who may also benefit in other ways.

*OyiL - kindly coordinate with ehnriko re dimensions of Habagat components that are potentially cross-platform. Thanks.

will try, but the low headroom is one of the identifying features of the OTJ e.

    Thank You, DON!

i think the design successfully communicated my intended character for the OTJIIp - dependable toughness, based on your "hummer" look-alike comment. as i originally planned the roof to be a choice between trapal and hardtop, that part is really open for manufacturer options. This concept will help the OTJ to go up the evolution path towards the SUV way. I have other concepts that will make it branch out to another evolution path - the off-roader, station wagon, sedan crossover (more like subaru forester ), baka new category with chassis changes to make its stance a little lower.

Remember our design principles: FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION.
While I appreciate the low roof as a feature of OTJs, you have to take note of the ergonomics of generation Z. Kids nowadays are much taller than their predecessors.
That's the challenge you have to face as a designer.
That's why I would like to know if you've done your ergonomic sketches.
Have you already designed it from inside-out? Can we see the clearances?
Let's assume the average height of your passengers to be 1800 mm.
Fit the passengers in first, then do the exterior style tweaking to fit the look you like.

there's actually enough space. I used ehnriko's mannequin from the fuv he posted in google 3d warehouse - it fits inside. we can lower the seat rails if we want more headroom. i-scale ko lang yan okay na kung kailanagan.
