dito mo ma-appreciate yung mga stoplight with timer. kung mga 1 min or more pa, N + brake (kung medyo uphill or downhill. otherwise, N lang). kung less than a minute, brake na lang.

as far as i know, putting it in P while in traffic is not a good idea. P is the equivalent of putting your m/t in 1st gear when it is parked. that's why it is P for Park when your car is at a complete stop, and engine is not running. you have to go through R first before D. kaya din nilagay yung N next to D for this purpose and not the P

What's working for you guys, might not work for some and vice versa.

Ako din isang kabig dere-derecho D to P and vice versa. N + handbrake minsan sumasablay din lalo sa mga 4 wheel disc set up. Di minsan makapit ang handbrake. To each his own.

are we talking of the same A/T shift lever? paano naging isang kabig from D to P na? Eh dadaan ka pa sa N and R. What more kung ung mga A/T na gate type eh hindi lang straight un liliko ka pa pag nag shift.

yup nangyari na sa akin na nung pinindot ko ung shift lock pumasok sa reverse, buti naka hand brake pa ako.

Half year ko ng ginagawa ito, pag sa traf tapak brake then tulak ko lang ung shift gear to N + handbarke, tapos pag go na tapak ulit brake dalhin ko lang sa D + release handbrake. Hindi na ako nag press ng shift lock, so far wala naman ako nararamdaman na kakaiba.

Putting your transmission on P at the stoplight is not a good idea. Kaya nga may N eh, for relatively short stops. P stands for Park. That should be written in your owner's manual.

Not to mention the risk of backing up at the car behind you and it sometimes distracts the driver behind because the reverse lights go on.

You don't even need to press that button from N to D and vice versa

2 risks when shifting to P, sira transmission mo when someone nodge you from the back. And danger of shifting it to R. That vs using your handbrake.

I guess preference na lang yan.

most of the time N plus handbrake...depende sa stoplight, yung ibang stoplight may seconds timer, kita mo kung gaano ka katagal babad sa traffic pagless than 10 seconds D lang plus brake.
