I think that this is the same ride that bro. lugarai reserved here at Citimotors Las Pinas, and which he hasn't received the unit after 2-3weeks(?) of follow-up?

There's a thread related to this in the good squad(?) section.....

Isa pang problema ko is when you release the gas pedal at any speed, ang bilis mag decelerate parang naka engine brake although the rpm stays at 1k. And i can hear a whistling noise.

22k pa ang mileage ko. Never pa na replace ang CVT-F

what should i do mga pare? Replace muna CVT-F? I've tried resetting the CVT. I did the reset procedures but still no avail.

Is this the 7-speed CVT version?

Meyor, hindi na CVT ang current version ng 2009 Jazz and City not because CVT is not reliable. I have a chief mechanic cousin in Honda and it is the price of manufacturing of the CVT. Thats the reason why they put it back to conventional tranny.

Marketing wise, cgurado may business dun. Pero here sa atin, thailand malaysia and others ay iba ang case.

CVT Trannys are the best transmission na nahawakan ko sa buong buhay ko na pagdadrive...in fact, it is recommended by my cousin cheifs mechanic of Honda. So i encourage you all na hindi pa nakakatikim magdrive ng CVT, try nyo at nang malaman nyo ang kaibahan...

Ang naging Issue lang talaga sa 1st batch CVT (2003-2004) are only the fluid. During test run ng CVT on 2003 cyempre ang gamit dun ay yung ordinary AT fluid.

2005 to 2008 are almost perfect na with the use of CVTF R&D'd ng honda at very rare na ang complains. It will only cost 2500 for fluid change every 20,000 km (that would be equivalent to 2 yrs)...mura maintenance nito mga tol compare sa "SATISFACTION" na ibibigay sa yo.

Honda did not use the CVT in the new Jazz/City because of only 1 reason:

    ITS HIGH COST

That's it, yun ang katotohanan sabi sa kin ng isang Service Advisor ng Honda-

Mahal ang kuha nila sa units na naka CVT kaya US spec ang dinala dito--dahil mas mura yon for them at lalaki ang kita nila over-all considering the rough financial times.

If you noticed, the Jazz in the US is imported from Asia kaya they used the normal matic dahil mas mura yun dahil mahal ang tax pag pinasok na nila ng US so kailangan mura ang kuha nila sa units para maibenta nila ng maayos.

Again just like Manual Tranny, Convntional 4 speed tranny, 5 speed manual tranny..may mga ilan na may issues kahit bago. Honda CVT issues na mabibilang mo sa daliri mo namroblma out of thousands units na narelease since 2003.

CVT is just a good and advanced tranny.

    my two cents.

Nag pa CVTF flush na ako last week. The juddering is almost gone, but the transmission noise at 100kph is still there but not as loud as before. Happy naman ako sa improvement and I hope it stays this way till its next CVTF change. According to Honda kasi hindi naman daw every 20Tkm ang change nito, and I verified the service booklet, the last change was March 2006 pa pala kasi sinusundan nila yung factory recommended PMS. Pero Honda is still at fault. They still should do something in helping owners maintaining the CVT, dapat free na ang CVTF change every year!

I have also experienced that usual problem with my 2006 Honda City. Nagjejerk sya sa arangkada. I brought it in Honda Marikina for a CVT fluid change and CVT calibration and everything went back to normal. I got everything for free kasi covered pa ng warranty daw. Sensitive lang talaga ang CVT and should be regularly maintained by means of regular CVT Fluid change.

In the long run, it is more expensive to maintain a car with CVT. I am just talking about the CVT oil change, how much more for its repair.

am also experiencing the same problem. brought mine to honda caloocan. sabi ng mga (note MGA) technicians dun wala naman daw silang nararamdaman. dunno ig mga manhid ba mga to or nag mamaang maangan.

eventually brought my city to honda otis, replaced pcv hose and some valve connected to it, then meron pa din daw, then replaced fuel filter....meron pa din, replaced cvtf and recalibrated...meron pa din..

this is frustrating tlga. spend more than 20k for everything tapos di man lang naayos yung sira.

ang problem ko pa is mine is 2005 model and out of warranty pero 50k palang yung tinakbo

ask ko lang kung may update na about the problem of anacron? it seems that i have a similar (but not quite the same) problem with the jazz that i have. i've noticed that the car seems to do a slight lunge while on a steady speed (30-40km) and it also affects my radio, nagooff sya and then mago-on after the slight lunge. its kinda scary kasi gumagalaw ka naman tapos biglang parang may kadyot na ganon. help please? its a jazz 1.5 '07; 45K km. ang tinakbo (rather ang itinatakbo). thanks.

Good day everyone. I have a Honda City 2004 Model I DSI. Matic na CVt Tranny 7 speed. It posted a 114,000 kms. Need to ask a few questions sa mga peeps dito.

Kasi parang unfair naman if Honda Oil lang. Last Tranny change oil ko 78,000km.

    2. Pinalitan ko na baterry ko 3x na. Need daw i reprogram ang computer box. Mahal.

No choice about this. If you want the CVT to last long, you will need to use the special CVT tranny fluid that Honda sells. If you use a different fluid, it will cause the tranny to fail. Just consider it as investment against sudden tranny failure which is more expensive to fix.

From our experience with our Honda City 1.3L iDSi, we didn't need to reprogram the ECU after a battery replacement.
