Short video explaining why you should get the correct transmission fluid.
Mga sirs, question lang po. I plan to have this on my Chevy Cruze with 47k odo reading (after 3 years) sa Exalta or sa Fronte based sa mga replies dito.
while the manual transmission box has its gears swimming in transmission (gear) oil, the clutch assembly has to be dry. servicing one is independent of the other.
doing dialysis style oil change in MT is in-efficient, impractical, and more expensive than simply draining it the usual way. drain and replace method is better in MT, sir.

I think, you can't do a dialysis to a manual transmission, there's no fluid pump in it, dialysis machine needs it to do its job. Drain and fill method is not the better method, it is the only method to replace the manual transmission gear oil. My mechanic drained and filled the gear oil of my Isuzu Fuego pick up with a SAE 15W40 motor oil, much better daw kasi less viscuous, circulate easily that makes the engine more fuel efficient, less load.
it can be done, but no one does it, because it's impractical, time-consuming, expensive, and inefficient, compared to the easier, cheaper, and faster traditional drain-and fill method..
and oh.. the pump necessary for the procedure is an external unit provided by the serviceman, outside the transmission housing... like i said, no one does it unless there's no other way to change the fluid..
i don't know what the recommended grade fluid is, but i gather your mechanic used a lighter grade fluid than that recommended by the manufacturer? lighter grade ("less viscuous") fluids might lose their lubricating ability at higher temperatures... and we here are a tropical country..
so you are in effect, saving your engine at the remote but possible expense of your transmission box...

yung dialysis applicable sa atf kasi hindi mu mapapalitan lahat unless you intercept the fluid and replace it at the other end.
sa gear oils/transfer oils and the likes, wala talagang need i dialysis dahil meh drain plug and merong filling hole... and you can drain it all without having to suck/intercept the fluid.
Used Castrol Transmax Multivehicle for my 09 Santa Fe. Rated for Hyundai SP3 yung Transmax at mas mura kesa sa oem * 340 per liter.
Castrol Singapore - Castrol Transmax Multivehicle

laking bagay ng drop pan cleaning - had mine done sa may Shell sa Araneta Avenue. had my dialysis done but only helped quite a bit, hirap pa din sa cold start and halos 3000rpm kada upshift. noong kinalas yung pan and change filter, saw very small shavings, and yung pan que horror parang malapot na chocolate icing.. as in sobrang lapot. nung nilinis, they had to change fluid din into dexron 3 shell spirax (di na siguro napalitan yung nasa torque converter), laki ng improvement sa cold start plus shifting halos walang pitik.
revo SR 99 on aisin 3 speed + od tranny
dialysis sir is for maintenance of the AT tranny...
Ganda web reviews pala dito. How is your santa fe by the way
BTW may upcoming sale sa SM kasama ace hardware 10% off yung mga all items between 10am and 12pm. Estimate ko mga nakaka 500kms na ko, so far so good.
Dati may "thud" sound pag nag downshift from 5th gear to 4th gear ngayon nawala na. 1st time to own a automatic kaya di ko alam tawag pero before parang sliding clutch yung feeling nung lumang ATF. Mabagal yung pickup ng power before pero now malakas na yung hatak.
Also gamit ko din to sa Montero 4x2 pero partial change lang na 4 quarts. No issues din.
