LTO car registration and late registration fees

Hey guys. I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this thead but I couldn't think of anything else =)

I've been out of the country for over a year now and I would like to have my car registered since it hasn't been registered since 2006. However, I don't know how to do this. I kinda wanna do this "independently." =)

Anyway, what would the cost be for the registration of a 1998 Toyota Corona? What would the late registration costs be as well (it wasn't registered for 2007, and 2008)?

I checked the LTO website and all I got were the fines and penalties for an unregistered car (apparently, 900 pesos...)

Any help would be appreciated. Salamat po! =)

cmiiw, i think the penalties you saw in the site ARE the ones you have to pay for your unregistered/"late-registered" cars.

Thanks! I'll try to search for it again...I keep on getting mixed/different amounts so I really have no idea. The reason I'm asking is because I need to budget =)

add ko lang din, penalty for late registration is 500 pesos per month. kung 6 months delayed na yung registration, 3000 penalties on top of the usual registration costs.

sabi sa akin..

pag late ka ng 1 week, P200
pag late ka ng 1month mahigit, 50% ng MVUC mo (not the grand total ha, grand total - comp.fee, stikers,legal reaserch,etc)

^^^ Ganito rin ang pagkakasabi sa akin. Kaya kailangan kong habulin ang aking vehicle registration today dahil 8 ang last number ng plaka ko.... :grin:

pwede yan sir, yung suzuki carry/scrum nga namin naiparehistro ng tatay ko kahit nakagarahe at minemekaniko pa sa bahay (sira kasi yon noon kaya di namin nadala sa neareast LTO office in our town), non-appearance ang tawag dun..bale yung smoke test ata nung sa amin e, dinoktor na lang, kumuha lang ng katulad na record na suzuki carry din ang sasakyan. kaso medyo inabot din kami ng maghapon bago namin nakuha yung sticker

Guys first time to renew the registration bought the car April 2009 but the plate no end with 8. when does renewal take place. April or August?

Sorry sa bump.

Ang alam ko kung ano yung ending number sa plate number mo, e yun din yung month na kung kailan mo iregister. Since 8 yung ending nung sa iyo, Sa August ka magrenew.

Mga sir buhayin ko lang yung thread.. meron na pla nag open pako.. well.. Kakakuha ko lang po ng oto galing sanpits ko kaso 2011 pa last registered ending digit 1. balak ko sana iparegister ano ba kelangan ko ipakita at magkano yung magiging fees. sobrang noob pako eh.

pag bago pa e registered pa yan sa years 2011-2012-2013. so sa january 2014 ka na magre-renew.

kung luma na (more than 3 years old), as you said last registration was jauary 2011, e late ka na ng 1 year and 1 month, january 2012 pa dapat nirenew yan. 1 year na penalty mo nyan plus interest.

Sir yung sa kin is brand new when registered last July 2010. Will expire this July 2013. Plate number ending is "0". Anong buwan ko dapat i-register? Also, can I register before it expires this July?

Plate ending "0" registration is October.
