Please no piliosopo answers.... Just wanted to ask this what are the differences if you are a Professional holder vs a Non-Professional holder? This is more of a out of curiosity question. Thanks!

by the term it implies, professional is used for livelihood, or something that you are earning from while driving (e.g. driver, instructor, etc.)

    non-pro is the opposite.

Non-Pro, you can’t exceed 4.5K kgs vehicle gross weight and for private use only.
Professional, you can drive beyond 4.5K kgs vehicle gross weight depending on your restrictons, can also use the vehicle for public use.

May difference ba sa liability kung pro ka or non-pro if you you are involved in an accident?

May nagsabi kasi sa akin before na mas malaki pananagutan ng pro license holder as compared sa non-pro if it involves the same accident. Is this true?

If both are driving a passenger car/SUV/AUV, walang pagkakaiba sa liability. But if a non-pro license holder driving a For Hire vehicle and is involved in an accident, the insurance company will not shoulder the expenses.

    Non pro and Pro license,

Non-Pro, - purely private vehicles only

Pro - Private, public, government, diplomat & special equipment vehicles.

kung family business naman, at nagdadala ng close van, as long as na private vehicle at not for hire...at non-pro ang license,

if you derive your income directly from your driving, then you are a pro.
if you regularly drive a commercial vehicle, then you are a pro, unless you can convince the authorities otherwise.
of course, some motor vehicles openly suggest you are a pro, simply because you are driving such vehicle.
and unless you work in the boondocks, i don't think you can convince the authorities, that your daily drive to your office is a 6 x 6..
    heh heh.

Difference between NON-PRO and PRO license?
