Coding for Brand New cars is based on 'conduction sticker's last digit?
Hello everyone,
This is the first time I was told that brand new cars whose LTO registration and plate numbers pending follows the color coding scheme using the last digit of their 'conduction stickers'?
Is this true?
I was informed by a marketing professional in Toyota Makati to remember that I still have to follow the 'colo-coding' scheme and it would be based on my conduction sticker. My conduction sticker's last digit is 4, hence coding ako every Tuesday??

Yes it is true.
I have a new car. So while you don't have your plates, the conduction sticker's last number will serve as your traffic-coding number.

Ganun ba? First time to hear this.
Re: Coding for Brand New cars is based on 'conduction sticker's last digit?
yup, its true . pero halos wala naman nanghuhuli ng coding pagwala pang plaka e. based from my experience
Re: Coding for Brand New cars is based on 'conduction sticker's last digit?
Yup. My SA told me about this as well. Makati is especially strict with this rule.

Thanks for the quick reply. Sigh, san naman nila nakuha yung ganyang batas (ammendment, LTO memo, etc.).
Regardless, I think that is just fair so I'll comply. Dapat pala ipaalam din natin ito sa ibang tao, baka madale sila ng MMDA, nakakahiya makipagdebate sa traffic enforcer then it turns out, tayo pala ang mali (albeit, adamant but wrongly informed). :)
Re: Coding for Brand New cars is based on 'conduction sticker's last digit?
Yes. Ingat ka na lang, especially in Makati.
Pero, bihira lang hinuhuli nyan dito sa QC. ;)
Pero in Makati, ingat ka na lang talaga.
Re: Coding for Brand New cars is based on 'conduction sticker's last digit?
Yes it's true but in my experience, my SA said it only applies to Makati. I was never flagged down due to it.
Re: Coding for Brand New cars is based on 'conduction sticker's last digit?
Been travelling with the new car pero di pa naman nahuli because of coding based on conduction sticker. Ginagawa ko na lang di ako pumupunta sa Makati pag coding, derecho na lang sa kliyente hehehe.
Re: Coding for Brand New cars is based on 'conduction sticker's last digit?
I guess I was lucky last Friday since hindi ako pinara ng makati police nung dinala ko yung bagong car ko sa office sa Makati. Thanks a lot for this information!

This info is very helpful for everyone, I even thought that this is ain't real. Because from what I knew, you should never drive a new vehicle (with out plate number) on the streets. I think, this law simply implies that you can now use your vehicle even it doesn't have any plate numbers yet.

Sorry mga mods,
meron na palang threads since 2007 sa forums dito pertaining to Coding Scheme and 'conduction stickers'.
Suggestion lang po, since mukhang every year nauungkat ang issue na ito, baka magandang gumawa tayo ng FAQ (common questions) at i-sticky na. hehehe.

Technically, you can only drive your new vehicle for a week after taking delivery. But since there is a problem with shortage of plates at LTO right now, new cars have a pass. (or you can talk to your dealer to give you more DRs hahaha)

OIC, its LTO's fault! AHahahaha :twak2:

Wow...buti na lang di ako nahuli sa Makati last Tuesday. Thanks for this info.
Re: Coding for Brand New cars is based on 'conduction sticker's last digit?
Just an additional info, sa Pasig, strict din sa coding based on the conduction sticker's last digit. Kanina muntik na akong matiketan buti na lang napakiusapan. Pinakita pa sa akin yung City Ordinance, pinagsabihan na lang ako....
