Been back reading pero konti lang nababasa ko regarding the 3.0 1kd-ftv engine. For city driving, average FC is 6.8km/l? What about highway driving?
Also, mausok ba yung engine na ito?

August 28th, 2014 03:20 PM #1712My 2005 1KD-FTV 3.0V, average 5-7km/l city. (5 worst case bumper to bumper heavy traffic). 10-12km/l highway (NLEX SCTEX). If you can maintain 80kph, kaya maka 13-15km/l Medyo accurate naman yung front consumption monitoring doon sa may bandang gitna ng auto.
Hindi naman mausok, though nagpa linis nako EGR minsan kasi medyo hirap exhaust at visible semi-white smoke when it reached 125k odo. Part of Diesel maintenance. Then linis din tambucho once a year.

Not normal. If there is visible smoke coming out of the pipe then that means your fuel fixture is too rich and the smoke you see the excess gas being prematurely burned.
On a normal engine, its possible to see some white smoke coming out of the exhaust but it is in cold weather like in winter in other countries.

Anyone tried installing rims from FJ cruiser ?
Planning to install a set on my 2006 Fort if I can find one.
Any comment whether the rim size will suit the Fort's body design ?

Anyone had oiling/greasing of the ball joints (arms and steering)?
How about the properller shaft ?
I asked the SA at Otis and he claimed that these are needed. I find it hard to believe. Is it true?
