Hello. I'm new here. I currently owned 2012 toyota vios.
Simota brand nya (Yung color blue) around Php1.5k sya.
Any recommendations guys? Thanks in advance

^air filter are changed every 20k kms. they cost around 1k sa casa. easy to DIY.

stick to oem filters if daily driver lang naman ang oto mo.

    Thanks for replying Sir JohnM.
    Manila to Megamall palagi.
But what do you mean OEM Filters?
Or surplus sya? Thanks again.

Ang pagpalit nyan is drop-in lang either OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) which the casa offers or aftermarket ones (like K&N, Simota as you mentioned, etc.). Kung out of warranty na yung Vios mo, get the K&N air filters. Lifetime use na yun as it is washable. For Vios 2008-2013 the K&N number is 33-2360. But since you were asking, my take is the K&N filters. It's just a matter or personal preferences din. Hope this helps. Drive safely, bro.

From their sites description, Excel Gs are stiffer than OEMs. Based on that, tama yong comment ng ibang owners. And I think that applies to all economy cars in the case of Excel Gs.

From my Gen1's manual, air filter is inspected(replaced if necessary) every 20k km. And definitely replace every 40k. Speaking of, kailangan ko na rin pala ng new filter.

Got 10.5 kpl this week. Normal daily Makati traffic plus three traffic-free runs on EDSA and C5. Laki pala ng difference kung mixed conditions.

Also DIYed installation of rear cam (OEM style replacing one license plate light) and a 7" monitor that hangs on top of the rear view. The rear view is dimmer than the normal glass mirror but it's still usable even at night. The display gets washed out in bright daylight so using the mirrors is still a must. The display will only help get the trunk as close as possible to whatever's behind it.

Hanapin mo "vios oem camera" ;)
