To all Innova Owners,
I just want to share to you my experience.
Few months ago, my a/c started to malfunctioned erratically.
The cool was inconsistent most especially when the weather outside is hot.
I noticed that the pulley assembly doesn't activated/engaged when the a/c is switched on.
But when I hit it with a stick so it will engage, it works ok.
Few days ago, I went to one a/c shop for them to check it.
They said that the pulley assembly's electromagnetic coil has degraded and needs to be replaced.
They also said that it normally malfunctioned when it gets hot.
I don't know if this is true but nevertheless, I asked them to change it since we badly needed the a/c to work properly.
Now, my a/c is working as it was before.
Can someone verify the malfunctioning of the pulley assembly when it gets hot?
Or I should just asked them to clean it since I saw a lot of accumulated dust between the coil of the pulley assembly and that might caused the malfunction of the coil?

first_light, I'm assuming you are talking about the Magnetic Clutch and not the tensioner pulley. Was the shop able to change the clutch alone without changing the compressor? I remember reading here in tsikot that the Aircon Compressor and Magnetic Clutch is one whole assembly. Can you confirm the details of your fix? Thanks much.

Reading through your post, it appears you might have witnessed the clutch being serviced. If you have pictures, can you share it with us? Going to your question, dust accumulation should not hamper the electrical operation of the coil. The coil induces a magnetic field that actuates the compressor engagement. Dust will not typically disturb this electrical function. What may happen is accumulated dust may hamper the mechanical movement but this may only be possible for severe deposits.

ellow mga sirs especially ericson21, meron syang icon ng ABS at icon ng SRS bag, sinilip ko na pareho at sa manibela may nakalagay na SRS airbag. pero yung nga pag naka 'On' na yung ignition switch within 6 seconds or more hindi talaga nailaw yng icons ng ABS at yung SRS icon ( na yng logo na may airbag at upuan) posible ba talagang malfunction na yung ABS at SRS nito? one more thing yng security button hindi na rin nag blink pag naka alis na yng key sa ignition switch. hula ko dahil ito sa pagpalit ng remote key dahil hindi na mismo susi ng toyota (remote) ang gamit kundi third party remote key.

what do you mean sa security, kahit i lock mo yung sasakyan using the remote hindi na umiilaw yung security? kase dapat iilaw yun steadily for 30 seconds tapos after nun mag blink na sya indicating na the TVSS is armed. hindi ba ganun sayo?

kung iba na remote nya, nilagyan na ng aftermarket alarm? nag aalarm naman ba when you press the panic button sa remote for the car to alarm?

Magandang araw mga tsikot at innova lovers...

ask ko lang nabasa ko kasi sa manual (salamat kay Number001 sa pdf file) na pag naka 'On' na yung sa ignition switch dapat po eh naka 'ilaw' na rin yung 'ABS' at 'SRS' icons within 6 seconds (aside from other icons na makikita sa service reminder indicators). Meaning pag naka ilaw yung ABS at SRS they are functioning properly.

Problema ko po kasi eh, pag naka 'On' yung ignition switch eh wala pong ilaw yung SRS and ABS icons nya, ibig po bang sabihin eh may problema na yung SRS and ABS ng innova ko? (btw, 2nd hand lang yung innova na nabili ko, 2007 model G series), just in case may problema po, saan po unang titignan kung talagang may defect po talaga ang SRS and ABS?

baka may accident history ang acquired unit mo na deploy na yung airbag then di pinalitan ang airbag (mahal kasi) saka inalis yung lamp indicatornito para di mag-manifest na may problema. Ganyan kwento nung isang car na binebenta sa friend ko ng pinacheck sa dealership yung car lumabas sa result "deployed airbag".

Hi. Ask ko lang, kaya ba mag 140 ng d4d na innova? Yung '10 d4d g manual kasi na innova namin ay sumisigaw na ang makina pag dating ng 120 at feel mo din na may vibration. Napansin din ito ng dad ko habang dinadrive nya sa expressway. Gusto ko din malaman kung mas malakas ang matic na d4d innova sa torque kumpara sa manual kasi sbe daw 260NM sa matic tpos nsa 200NM daw ang manual. Thanks.

Hi guys! im newbie here.. i just to ask and clarify something regarding the price/ inerest of the toyota innova that i got.. I got my 2013 innova G 2.5 diesel a/t last december 28, 2012.. i'm outside the country so my sister is the one made the transaction regarding the car.. at first the dealer told us that our dp will be 150,000 and the monthly amortization will be aroung 19000.. so i agree with that.. then he asked my sister that someone from the bank will call my other ( since the car will be name to my mother), and it was PSbank who called and approved us for the five-year loan and told us just to contact the dealer. so my sister called again the dealer and asked if how much will be our DP and monthly, he said the the same price 150K for the DP and arounf 19K for the monthly.. so the next day we decided to purchase the car since they have PROMO and it will only last till the end of december and went to TOYOTA DASMA to give the DP, we gave the 150K downpayment and toyota calculated again our month amortization.. in our surprise it was different!!! here it is:

price of the car: 1,165,000
20% DP: 150,000 ( supposed to be 233,000 but we were discounted by 83K)
monthly amortization for 60 months: 22, 904..
ALL-in (insurance, LTO reg and mortgage was included, also we have freebies like rust proofing, mat, tint, fuel, seat cover, cover for the car, labour services, etc)
the amount of the inerest for the 60 months that i computed was around 360K
I WOULD LIKE TO ASK IF IT IS TO MUCH OR MOST LIKELY THE INTEREST FOR THE 60 MONTHS PAYNET WILL COST LIKE THAT? HOPE YOU GUYS CAN ANSWER

that sounds about right. pero, to get the best deal talaga, dapat kumuha kayo quote from several banks and haggle..
