there's a new hi-lux variant... one that is powered by a 2.7L vvti engine that's good for 160hp...

Yung 2.7 VVTi na Hilux is available on 4x2 models. Pero mukhang naka-high rider chassis na din as per pic sa diyaryo.

I just drove our hilux going to subic just a while ago. Its fast for a diesel fed pickup. Overtaking those tricycles & slow moving vehicles on a 2 lane road is easier. Di tulad noong dinadala ko lagi L200 pinapatay ko pa ung air con

Na miss ko lang ung mga malokong trike pag overtake bobombahan ko ng USOKPOWER!. Sabi nga ng ermat ko "usokan mo nga", "Ma walang usok ito".

noong pauwi na sa NLEX uwing uwi na si itay at inay at the speed of 120kph sabi nila bilisan mo pa. Then i pin the pedal to the metal and reached 140kph a whole lot easier than when I was driving our L200. The engine is quiet for a diesel and I overtaked a lot of vans & auvs pag nakatabi mo youll hear their engines are already at its peak rpm. I believe it can reach up to 150kph or more kaya lang ayaw na ni inay.

Pero ang daming nagkalat na INNOVAS sa daan I think I counted 8 or 10. Nasaan na kaya mga hilux di talaga mabili.

La lang ng post lang ako coz im just excited to drive a pickup that can run like that. Ive been driving pick ups for the past 9 years and this one is totally different.

That's true malakas ang hatak ng D4D engine ng toyota talaga, tested my innova yesterday and today on SLEX, kaya lang parang bitin ako kasi SLEX is shorter as compared to NLEX yata kaya diko nasagad ang gas pedal when driving.. BTW is yours 4x2 lang bah?? or 4x4??

4x2. It makes me wonder how fast the 4x4 3.0litre 160hp can go. But ive read somewhere dito sa tsikot that the 4x4 hilux is faster than the Nissan patrol

hehe, gulat nga ko pinabilis pa sa kin. Pero buti naman na test ko rin acceleration at high speeds.

evidently konti lang bumili ng hilux probably because of its small tires
