the s.grandia sliding doors don't need to be slide/push hard to close. it will automatically locked into closed position the moment the door mechanisms come together. the rear door no, you need to drop a bit to close it.

LXV does not have power sliding and power tail gate. Even the side mirrors are not power. Kaya everytime I need to adjust mirror I ask some to adjust for me on the passenger side.

Parents are looking for a van with Power doors. i thought the Super grandia had them.
i guess its a toss up between a Honda Odyssey or a Kia Carnival.

the two captain seats in super grandia are ideal for seniors. without power doors in my opinion are not a big deal as very minimal effort are needed to close them. my 78 yr old mom can effortlessly close the door.

Paalis na sana ako buti di pa ako nakakalayo namatay bigla Hiace ko. Then nag on yung battery light sa dashboard. I tried i series sa vios ko nag start naman pero naka ilaw oa yung battery light. Then maya maya namatay na lahat ng ilaw sa dashboard at wala ng busina. Ano kaya possible problem? Carbon brush ng alternator o battery?

the engine still ran, even after it seemed like someone stole your battery?
it sounds like charging (alternator) system.
your battery probably got fully discharged, as the alternator had not been providing it with charging current for some time.

half-hearted explanation, but that is all i can offer, as all i have is a description.

Drove a Super Grandia over the weekend. It's a very spacious van with adequate torque to haul around a full load of people. But it's not car-like to drive in any way, and ride is quite harsh.

I liked how the engine never felt underpowered despite having 6 on board. The old Fortuner engine works well with this big van. 4AT is fine since torque is abundant anyway.

As expected, driving position is awful. The Starex fares much better in this respect. The Starex is also far more comfortable especially when not fully laden. Blame the leaf springs - I felt the bounciness at the rear all the way from the driver's seat.

While the Starex is pretty liveable (enjoyable even, if you have the VGT) even if you have to drive it, the Hiace feels like a strictly chauffer-only affair. Can't imagine having any bit of fun driving this bulky van, even on open highways.

Then again, this van has its niche and it does the people-carrying bit very well.

Same sentiments bro... occasionally drive our family's Super Grandia for trips where I have to carry a lot of cargo plus my big family of 8 (including Yayas). And the bounciness is absurd... and as you described it... you can feel it all the way from the rear to the driver's seat.

Some negatives for me would be the rattle and noise of the plastic dashboard especially when going through those multiple small linear humps on the highway. And the bounciness of the leaf springs even if you try your best to drive gently. I feel tired after every drive like i drove a big truck. The NVH is also not that good and the sound system is crap.

On the positive side, The torque is really admireable even if it's fully loaded with people. There's tons of headroom and the loading height is low so you basically have closet-like space when throwing in unlimited cargo!

Can anyone actually confirm if the 2019 Grandia Tourer is either considered Class 1 or Class 2 in our expressways?

Technically it should still be Class 1 since the height limit to be considered such is to be 7.5ft (2286mm) and below, and the Tourer's height is at 2280mm. It's just that it's straddling so close to the limit that it can be controversial.

Perhaps those who own a Grandia Tourer can pitch in their experience.

Kanina while driving sa c5 biglang nawalan ng hatak Hiace ko.
Hanggang ayaw na umandar, no choice but to tow it para makauwi.
The problem is na sshift ko kambyo, pero pag inangat ko clutch pedal hindi naandar. Ni walang reaction yung engine. What could be the problem?

Paanong walang reaction? Namamatay? Or pag bitaw ng clutch walang movement?

    i don't hi-ace, but

if "ni walang reaction yung engine", you mean, it does not rev even if you step on the silinyador, something is wrong with either your silinyador or with your fuel enrichment system. if the connections are mechanical, the problem should be easy to fix. it might be something as simple as disconnected cable or cut cable.

but if the engine revs on command naman, but the vehicle does not accelerate, my guess is, the engine's crankshaft does not gets its power thru to the driveshaft. the only item i can think of that is between the two, is the transmission box.

a third possibility, although medyo no,
your fuel filter is clogged. not enough fuel can pass thru to allow your engine to rev.

Hello mga sir, new to the forum.

my advice, is to listen to yourself.

the seller is asking for a cheap price because he probably knows something about it that is worthy of the cheap price.

    my opinion.

ang dami-daming sasakyang puedeng bilhin sa mercado...

    errr,
is this an original left-hand drive?
