FYI Bought a Super Grandia with fabric seats recently. As soon as we got home with it encountered problem with alarm system. The alarm will activate as soon as engine is shut down. Sent it back to dealer to fix the alram, two days later the van wont start as alarm system cut off power to ignition. What the f*&*^&*^) !!!!! It took 30 minutes to start we activate and deactivate the alarm . Called dealer and found out the alarm system is not Factory installed in Japan but installed here in Toyota factory by Winterpine on Araneta . I told dealer to remove the alarm but they said it will void warranty F*&*(^*!!!! The technician taht worked on the alarm had to come from their Laguna plant and spoke to him and he swaid he works for Winterpine.

Anyway, I bought a hi-ace commuter kasi na year 2009 tas pinaconvert ko seats sa loob similar to a GL..

tanong ko lang sana.. meron ba sa inyong naka commuter na nag pakabit ng foglamps? If yes, saan kayo nagpakabit and how much inabot?

I just got back from hongkong kasi last night and ang hiace commuter nila dun stock lang yung foglamps sa bumper... I bought a van for a rental service raket din kasi so kelangan sana ng fog lamps for out of town trips.

I have a Hi Ace GL model year 2000. I am using Petron E10 now. So far no
problem encountered.

Anybody here who is on the same situation?

nakuha na namin Hi Ace 1998 namin. pina overhaul kasi namin. kasi bumigay ung engine sa pag akyat nung antipolo 12 people..

ngayon after mapa overhaul umok naman ang hatak ang problema ko ngayon pag dating niya ng mga 70kph parang ang lakas na ng tunog ng makina at hirap na pumanik.. tapos pag napapadiin ako sa selinyador umuusok siya ng white. di naman ganun kalakas at tumatagal. pero umuusok siya.

lalo na kung papanic kami ng tagaytay. diyos ko po ang usok. dun talaga ang matindi.

ano kaya ang problema nito?

btw, walang RPM gauge ung van. pwede kayang palagyan to? di ko alam kung may pag coconnectan e.

Is the 3.0 d4d version of the super grandia available from local dealers?

Or is this only available from gray market importers?

Hello fellow HiAce owners. :D Question: Mga magkano ang fair price ng 2000 model Grandia (3.0 diesel) w/ ~115k kilometers na nothing to fix pero relatively poor ang paint condition at may ~2 body repairs (minor na sabit). We're thinking of letting it go * 400-450k. Any inputs? Thanks!

We'll be getting Toyota HiAce Commuter soon. Any feedback aside from the (D4D woes) eto kasi gusto nung driver namin maganda raw kasi manakbo. Yung driver kasi namin maraming arkila mababawi namin pang monthly kung Urvan kasi kukunin namin baka di niya tanggapin kasi currently Toyota GL Grandia ginagamit niya at di yun mag ddowngrade sa Urvan. Sabi niya kahit commuter na lang daw.

Eto situation ko:

Get the Commuter (walang problema sa monthly since sa arkila kukunin ang pambayad). Yari ka D4d woes daw. Yung driver kasi namin since dati commuter gamit wala naman daw problema.

Get the Escapade (bahala ka sa buhay mo mag monthly sabi ko commuter kunin mo eh)

Minsan kasi yung mga nag rerent ng van samin mga choosy. Gusto Toyota lahat. Minsan school pa request nila commuter or GL ang arkilahin nila mga 10 na sasakyan. So minsan iwan lagi Urvan ng mother sa arkila kasi di Toyota.

i`ve ridden several hi-aces already ranging from the commuter up to the super grandia and all I can say is all of them are fast.

the commuter can reach 120kph at a very short span of time.

the seats are okay, not that soft nor not that hard too. just average.

with the price of the grandia commuter today, i think the gs tci is more worth it. however if your driver still insists the commuter then go for it, it won't be a bad choice.

re. the d4d woes, i haven't heard nor read any complaints about the d4d engine of the hi-ace. maybe those complaints are only isolated to the innova & fortuner units ? :D

Yeah, I can't see any feedback regarding HiAce commuter (d4d woes). Maybe konti lang may Commuter or puro M/T sila at laging run it hard

walang D-4D problems ang Hiace. CBU from Japan lahat yan

since December 2007 wala pa problem yung GL Grandia M/T namin

Between an Urvan Escapade and a Hi Ace commuter, mas comfortable ang Escapade. But yun nga lang, your clients wouldn't know and would just pick what they think is the newer or more fashionable model.

So far wala pa naman problema sa D4d with the Hiace ambulances. Yun nga lang isang unit nagbabawas ng tubig but hindi ko na nacheck kung bakit.

Sabi nga nung SA galing pa raw talaga sa Japan ang mga unit kaya pahirapan rin ang pagkuha ng unit di pwede right away may unit ka. Inoorder pa raw talaga from Japan. May unit na kami iniintay na lang approval ng bank. Sana wag kaming magsisi. Anong dapat kong icheck first time Toyota customer kami.
