If you have not yet fully paid the initial cash outlay or the full amount if you are buying in cash, it might help if you pay already. As soon as the units arrive you will be the priority. It worked for me 1st week of December. The only difference then was, the units during that time are available at the plant.
Am asking din kung puwede pero in the meantime I don't want to go 2nd gear agad. Feeling ko mag la-lug yung engine. I think I read somewhere that habitual engine lugging caused by under-revving can seriously damage the engine. If you overrev naman all the time, it could result in "excessive wear and tear on the engine." Parang mas safe overrev kesa underrev. I guess it takes practices and patience to use the optimal gear in any situation. Am used to driving a corolla kasi na tall gearing so konting gas lang arangkada kaagad.
Same case here. I used to drive a corolla as well. Afterwards, for a month ata, dala ko naman Revo ng tita ko. Sa Revo, I used to do that (straight to 2nd gear from full stop).
Pero, I guess, you guys are right. There must be a reason why there is a first gear in the first place.adjust na lang. masasanay din tayo.
Example is Corolla 1.3 and 1.6. The 1.3 has a shorter 1st gear than the 1.6 to enable it to climb albeit at high RPM.
unless you are driving a vehicle with a tons of torque, starting a vehicle from 2nd gear is not recommended. you'll be shortening the life of your clutch dramatically and can lead also to premature engine damage.
Depende naman sa gearbox. If it's like the L300, with a useless first gear... no problem...
But most small cars here in the Philippines can't take off in second gear without lugging.
thanks.
Update on FC : Avanza 1.5G M/T
Trip Meter : 101.4 km
Fuel Consumed : 11.04 L Caltex Silver
FC : 9.18 L/km
This is on normal city driving. Pina full-tank ko on same station and same pump. Baka nga me kelangan pang i-adjust to have more lower FC. Ipapa-adjust ko na lang on my 1000km PMS. As of now nasa 750km pa lang eh.
*jaspi11, bro ano accessories yung hiningi mo sa SA mo for your Avanza J? Share naman![]()
update lang FC: A/T 1.5G Champagne
I'm using shell V-power
its 11.12 km/l
eto na notice ko. if i'm using a lower octane (93) medyo malakas sa gas pero pag higher octane ganda ng takbo. I'm using either Caltex Gold or Shell V Power.
Ano ngang accessories pinakabit nyo jaspi11?
Thanks!
Nope. Gasoline by any other name [Blaze, Velocity, Gold, Silver, etc.) is still Unleaded. That's the law. It is illegal to sell leaded gasoline in the local market.
Oil companies can only further refine, add more additives, increase octane rating, etc. But it will still not have any lead on it.

Thank you po master OTEP for the clarification!Nalilito/misinformed lang po ako sa labelling na simpleng "Unleaded" gasoline sa mga gasolinahan at yung mga ibang label like the ones you mentioned.
Nalinawan na ako na yung me mga iba't-ibang label e processed to change the character in order to market as different products but ALL are unleaded. The processed fuel cost more, but I guess has more advantages as stated by gensi as to have better mileage, better engine burn, etc...
Will also try the higher octane fuel then...
we just came from alabang using the nlex and c5. ngayon ko lang lalo napansin yung pagka-bouncy nya since walang traffic at tuloy-tuloy ang takbo with the constant speed of 80kph (3000rpm). Dadalawa rin lang kaming sakay. Di ko na hinrurot pa dahil bouncy. It would be much better siguro kung puno. pagka alon-alon ng daan might also be another factor.
