Newbie planning to buy a Toyota Altis
Hi Guys,
I'm a newb here. Hopefully im not lost in looking for help for buying my next car. Im planning to get a Toyo?ta Altis, preferably 2003 - 2005 model. My Questions:
1.Ano difference ng J, G, E, etc.. models nila?
2. Ano usual na sakit ng Altis?
3. Kamusta ang kunsumo per liter?
4. Kamusta ang performance?
5. Hindi ba ako mahihirapan sa after market maintenance?
TIA!
Re: Newbie planning to buy a Toyota Altis
1.Ano difference ng J, G, E, etc.. models nila?
J - 1.6L, m/t, all power, no ABS, Sanden A/C
E - 1.6L, m/t or a/t, w/ ABS, Nippondenso A/C (auto climate control)
G - 1.6 or 1.8L, a/t only, leather seats, 15" rims
2. Ano usual na sakit ng Altis?
- Engine sludging. This is caused by not following the 5,000kms change oil interval basically. (Kahit synthtic oil ang gamit).
- Warped front rotors
3. Kamusta ang kunsumo per liter?
m/t 9-10km/L (city driving), 13-16km/L (highway)
4. Kamusta ang performance?
Okay naman. :D
5. Hindi ba ako mahihirapan sa after market maintenance?
Parts are readily available in Banawe and the Toyota CASA. Reliability of your car will also depend on how the previous owner maintained it.

thanks... by the way, ano yung warped front rotors? panu ko malalaman yun?
Re: Newbie planning to buy a Toyota Altis
You have to drive the car. Test drive kung prospect car ito. You can feel some pedal pulsations when braking, and sometimes even steering wheel vibrations.

For the Ford Lynx? wait mo sa August for the write up due to the planned vehicles for April-July. As of now, I can give you reviews from motioncars.com for the meantime.
