New Fortuner & Hilux Spec-up 2012

Ano kaya ang new engine ng all new fortuner and hilux? Kung new engine naman for sure may mga defects, like nga mga 2005 model ng hilux and fortuner yun scv and injector may defects, 1st gen model

Pero sa 2nd and 3rd refined na daw like un scv mas mahaba na etc.

TMP keeps on withholding the goods from us. In Thailand, the 3.0 receives a higher output and a new 5 speed transmission. The 2.5 VNT there also receives the new 5 speed transmission.

Its practically useless to buy the "new" 2.5 VNT with the 4 speed that TMP just launched with the knowledge of the what should have been.

TMP will probably launch these upgrades on our shores by this time next year so that they can still call it "new".

well said, kaya kami we are waiting for the new 5speed A/T since 3.0 engine talaga yun gusto namin.

im so happy sa perforamance ng 1st gen fortuner namin 3.0 4x4 compare to our monterosport non vgt 2.5 gls

lakas ng torque ng 3.0, sa monterosport malakas lang at the start.

By the time the upgrades reach here next year, rumors will be rift of an all new body by the following year (2014 or 2015).

Yun lang haha but kung new engine ang naka lagay sa 2014/2015 nevermind kasi for sure meron ulit mga flaws yan, unlike yun 1KDFTV now na correct na mga flaws. Too bad yun sa amin 1st gen fortuner may flaw yun sa injector and scv pero kaya naman din ma upgrade to worry free hehe

For the all new 2014-15 Fortuner, I got a funny feeling that engine, drive train, and chassis will all be recycled. The body design and every inside will certainly be newly redesigned but all dimensions will remain the same since it will sit on the old chassis.

*number001 - u mean kung lalabas ang all new na sinasabi next year same pa din chasis / dimensions ang gagamitin ?

Or maybe, it will be an all new chassis that will be designed to accommodate the 1KD-FTV engine. Since the Fortuner needs to keep up with the new benchmark of PPVs, the new Chevrolet Trailblazer, and the upcoming Ford Everest. I'm hoping that the 1KD-FTV and the 2KD-FTV engines will be fitted piezoelectric injectors in order to increase their power outputs.
