    Hi i have a Vios 2005 AT just recently ( more than a month already) i replaced the battery, i replaced it with N40 1 sn. its slightly bigger that the original

    1 sn so the upper brace was adjusted. after driving for a few minutes the check engine light appeared.

    what i did was to reset it by removing the negative for a few minutes. but after driving, a few minutes or a day

    the CEL appears. i've done resetting it for a couple of times already. i've checked everything like tranny oil, engine oil,

    power steering, seems all is in order. this vehicle is well maintained and not used much. avg of 250km a month. just recently replaced spark plugs and change oil.

    Is their a connection when i replaced to a 'bigger' battery? anybody experienced this?

    Have it scanned first. The sensor/s close to the battery are the MAF, IAT and the EVAP. Something loose might have been disturbed

    sabi mo nga mas mataas ng kaunti sa dating battery mo.

    maaaring may nagalaw or may nahatak na wire or sensor.sa vios mo.
    check mo muna mga connection bunutin mo socket at isalpak mo.tingnan mo din ung mga naka paligid sa battery
    siguiradong may nagalaw lang dyan..imposible kasi yan nagpalit lang ng battery nag cel na agad..may nagalaw lang dyan or nabunot

    Scan tool kelangan para ma pinpoint ano sensor ang nagloloko.

    baka naman na-sense ng comp ang increase load ng alternator. try installing same type of battery, kung ma-ok, swerte mo. if not, mahal ang magpa obdii. 2 cents

    ang ininstall ko 1 sn N40 yung stock is 1sn din pero manipis siya ng kaunti, i think its NS40 or something. nung ininstall

    nakita ko kung nilagay yung battery, kasyang kasya naman at mukhang walang nagalaw except yung brace sa taas adjust lang kasi nga mas malapad ng kaunti. yung height its the same.

    tinawagan ko Toyota inquire regarding this, sabi puede ko pa scan 2k+ daw, or suggest sa akin nung tech remove the

    EFI relay then after a few minutes ibalik ko din. nung ginawa ko yun okay na nawala pero after driving for 30 min lumabas uli yung CEL.

    Sir ETAC ba ang throttle body mo di cable type? Okay lang RPM? Normal sa Toyota na lagi lumalabas na DTC ay KNock sensor, ECT sensor at O2sensor.. pag OCV/vvti sensor o CMF sensor palagi my misfire o hard starting. Pag CKP sensor totally no electric signal ang ignition coil at injector. Minsan my nakalimutan lang na ikabit na socket tulad ng iat.. Pag MAF/MAP sensor palyado at Amoy sulfur ang usok.. Pero try nyo sir tingnan lahat ng socket ng mga sensor bka my lumuwag o di nakabit. Pati ung sa coil at injector tingnan nyo din Bka maluwag o my nagbiro sa engine nyo pwede mangyari iyon. Mahal pala ng computer check sa pinas

    Its cable type. okay naman RPM. sa pag start one click naman. and hindi palyado. i will check baka may lumawag na ibang socket. wala naman pinag iba sa takbo still smooth and have good power.

    grabe naman yung 2k for just scanning, may mga ordinaryong auto shop naman who conducts obd2 scanning for just 300 pesos lang.... kung malapit ka lang sir, i will just lend you may scanner to have your car checked.....BTW, kumusta na vios nyo?

    Hi okay naman yung Vios walang pinagbago pati sa fuel consumption. Gamit ito ng Misis ko on many short trip around 10 to 15 km a day. 5.75 km/lit Automatic 1.5. lumalabas pa rin yung check engine kulay yellow siya steady hindi nag blink.

    nabasa ko kasi sa browse ko na if blinking and red ang color its serious. napagod na rin ako ka rereset kaya pahinga muna hehehe.

    thanks for the offer nakakahiya naman sayo. may alam ka ba shop na puede ko pa scan? sa casa kasi sobra malapit pa naman sa amin yung Toyota Shaw.
