July 1st, 2012 02:18 AM #114Got our unit 1 month ago. Its a 3.5 V6 Silver. During my short time riding in it, I noticed that the ride is more comfortable and NVH has improved over the previous 3.5Q. Engine and transmission is the same, and in terms of features, I don't feel that it has gained anything significant enough over the previous model. I do like its front design better, as it definitely has a strong resemblance to Lexus. I do wished Toyota could have included memory functions and a sunroof, as some cheaper competitors have them. The radio is now a single in dash cd player rather than a 6-disc in dash changer. But it does have a AUX port for flash drives or I-phones, something that was absent in our 2007 3.5Q. Its not a bad car, but my dad has been a loyal Camry buyer since 2002 and if it was my money, I would probably look elsewhere, as I think that the previous 3.5Q would compare nicely even againts this new model. Or maybe because Toyota did such a good job with the previous one that they didn't want to changed it too much, it kinda reminds me of the 2004 Corolla Altis and the current model, more of an evolution rather than a revolution.

The new Camry looks leaner and less flabby, despite being the bigger car. No sporty pretensions though. Just like a 2-million peso Lexus.
