MANILA, Philippines—There’s another “viral” photo of a Quezon city policeman going around online—this time, it’s a positive one.

The subject of the Facebook post is Project 4 policeman, SPO1 Ariel Camiling, of the QCPD Station 8, who helped a stranded couple with their stalled vehicle along the northbound lane of Edsa last Saturday.

In the photos posted by motorist Joann Angeles Delos Santos on Oct. 11, Camiling was shown patiently tinkering with the couple’s engine.

Delos Santos narrated that Camiling and another policeman, who were aboard a nearby police mobile, approached her and her husband after the couple had spent more than two hours stuck near the Gate 4 of Camp Aguinaldo on Saturday.

I am glad to read stories like this. The cop looks like a good man. Not your typical "goon" looking cop.

Mga 3 months ago sa Ortigas nakita ako isang pulis tumulong magtulak ng kotse habang nanonood lang mga tao ng MMDA.

last march may similar experience din kami nuong nagka-problema sinasakyan namin sa los banos. although traffic enforcer siya, nakakatuwa pa din kasi he went out of his way to help us

sana dumami pa ang mga maka-uniporme tulad ni sir!

I admire public servants like these. They are really out there to help people in need. No qualms, no fanfare, no publicity.

And its a good thing he (the policeman) knows a thing or two in basic automotive troubleshooting and repair. Saludo ako.
