It is relatively unknown here in the Philippines, but it is a household name in other countries especially in its homebase Japan. It has raving reviews from everywhere, just googled some. I dont mind the Japanese sounding name too, It sounds bada$$ imo. I'd take the name Kizashi over "Fiesta" or "Fit" or "City" any day. I read somewhere that this monster broke some land speed record (modified ofcourse). I would love to have one some day.
maybe its the styling, pero i saw one * trinoma and its size looks near to the elantra...
wait san ba talaga ito naka categorize ?
it should be in the D segment sir. katapat nang camry, mazda 6, elantra, teana, accord...

Meet the Kizashi, Suzuki’s new flagship ride!
No, it’s not the name of a Japanese AV idol.
The Suzuki Kizashi is a bold new contender in the luxury car arena, looking to mix it up with the Camrys, the Hyundai Sonatas and the Accords lording over Philippine roads. It is the first model in Suzuki’s lineup to enter the illustrious compact executive segment.
Does this Suzuki offering have what it takes to cruise side-by-side with more established premium models and carve its own place? Time will tell, but the car’s upscale features and sophisticated good looks, combined with a 1.28 million-peso price tag make it worthy of your consideration. Now, how about a proper introduction? Here are some key details about Suzuki’s new flagship model.
1) It promises an exhilarating driving experience
The Kizashi is powered by a 2.4-liter engine paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with 6-speed manual mode. The engine was developed to be highly quiet and economical, producing 180 horsepower * 6000 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
2) It’s not your dad’s luxury sedan
Not that our dads have luxury sedans. The Kizashi is a sedan but by no means does it look sedated. It packs a sporty character: The huge grille’s mesh design, the 17-inch alloy wheels, the brush-stroke-style “Kizashi” emblem and the piano-black finish of the car’s B-pillar all make for a car that doesn’t shy away from attention. The dual-muffler configuration along with exhaust covers that are inspired by Suzuki’s top-flight sport bikes give the car a sense of dynamism.
3) It takes cues from the best of them
From the front, the Kizashi is undeniably a Suzuki. But it’s evident that it does take cues from other Japanese and even European carmakers. Witness: the two-tone, multi-tiered dashboard with silver accents, and the central console. The interior is plush, making use of sporty fabric seats, an adjustable steering wheel, and soft ambient lighting.
4) Safety measures
The Kizashi treats its passengers like babies, equipped with ABS, a 6-airbag system, 3-point seatbelts for all five passengers, an Electronic Stability Program which prevents skids, a cabin designed to absorb and disperse impact forces, and an anti-theft alarm system.
5) A grown-up Suzuki
Know what else? The Kizashi has keyless locking, unlocking, and starting! A first for Suzuki cars!
The Suzuki Kizashi is now available at Suzuki dealerships nationwide with an introductory price of 1,288,000 pesos. Visit Suzuki Philippines Inc. for more info.
Saw one in the flesh awhile ago in Trinoma. Wala siyang appeal. It's not an ugly car - it looks good actually, both inside and out. Specs are great too. But it's lacking that mojo. It's not a regal luxo-barge like the Camry, or a svelte looker like the Sonata, or a sporty chunk of metal like the Mazda 6. It's about as unappealing as a Sentra 200 (okay maybe not that bad, but kinda close).
Medyo wala nga sya wow factor. Ganda ng loob, pero yung exterior is.. well, too plain in my opinion.
It's pretty hard to compare the Kizashi to the bigger, more luxurious and more expensive midsizers like the Sonata GLS and Camry 2.5G.
Somehow, it sits between TOTL 2.0L compacts and the aforementioned base model midsizers.
I guess this could sell to people who are looking at TOTL compacts, but are willing to spend a little more (just around 150k) for a bigger engine and more space.
One weird quirk though - urethane steering wheel. The next most expensive sedan without a leather-wrapped steering wheel is the overpriced Civic 1.8E.
It can battle with TOTL compacts, yes. But with midsize luxuries, such as the Teana's, Camry, Accord.. mahihirapan eto.
What a bland interior indeed...

In fact, mas malakas ang sales ng Suzuki Motors worldwide kaysa sa mga ibang manufacturers where it belong to the Top 10 largest car manufacturers sa buong mundo, ranked 9th-overall. Mitsubishi is not even known in the Top 10 hehe....
