mugen isn't that good actually. had the shock/spring combo on my civic before and wasn't too impressed with it. much much better yung spoon shocks and springs.

bilsteins are ok but very expensive. figure on about 6-7k per pc for the honda.

The ES Civic shocks are pricey though... KYB for the rears was quoted to me at almost 5K a piece while Bilstein was at 9K a pop for the rears (retail price... may discount though). Wanna get rid of my POS shocks.

Stick to the OEM shocks na lang .. kung ganyan kamahal yan.... Showa yata ang brand ng OEM. parang 3,500 / pc yata ang bili ng friend ko dati for the front. (EK).

due to the design of the ES suspension, the shocks are really more expensive than the older ek's

Was searching the Summit Racing website and how i wish i could get those KYB AGX's over here.

I had a 97 Honda Civic VTi and had the shock aborbers replaced a few years ago. KYB or Showa is the OEM for the Civic's shocks. I had it replaced at PartStar along Taft Ave. PartStar supplies original and replacement parts for Honda, so you can ask them na lang which is it. A few years ago, it was P5,400/pair, so much cheaper than the casa price (kahit HamPart pa).

They also have a mechanic, Kado, who used to be from Honda service, so he is very good! He is still there as of now, and is chief mechanic na daw.

You may reach PartStar at 511-0446/0447, 831-9383.

Directions: From Makati, take EDSA heading eastbound/Roxas Blvd. Turn right at Taft Ave. (the street w/ the LRT above). It will be on your right a few hundred meters away. You won't miss it because of the big sign pag katabi mo na.

    Hope this helps.

I recently bought 2 brand new KYB shocks for my ES. 5,200 ang isa. I bought it at R.B.M sa Taft (malapit sa edsa station ng LRT).

    try Monroe...

It's made in the U.S and Nascar Officialy licensed...

buy those 650php each and feel like there's no shock absorber installed at all...
