Cutting stock springs to lower car.
Cost of cutting at sidewalk "talyer" 800 + 150/spring cutting charge.
Cost to replace blown shocks due to cut stock springs. ~1800x4 = 7200 + 800 labor =8000.
Add that to the 1400 you spent to cut your springs = 9600.
Add 750x4(cost of replacement springs)= 3000.
That would be 12600.
That doesn't include the gas & time you waste to get the parts you had to replace.
In perspective, a set of H&R sport springs used to cost 10500.

..errr...basta, wag tipirin ang pag lower kasi mas magastos. period.
ako rin nag pa cut ng springs dati... dahil mahirap pa mag hanap ng lowering springs dati pang corolla. Soobrang tagtag... as in tumatalbog ako habang umaandar.. hassle. Lowered yung car for a yr, and ang bumigay lang naman (fortunately) is the bump stops ng shocks.

Afaik, all lowering springs are sold in fours. So that means you will have extra rear coils. Unless you order them from their distributors and specify what you need.
Based from the threads that I have linked, most of them suggested change of shocks also.
Kung 4x4 at lifting procedures lang yan, mas madali sana. Ang bentahan kasi ng coils or leaf springs by pairs. :D

I suggest you change springs by set of fours because if you only changed the fronts and left the rear pair as stock, the car's handling will be affected (too soft in the rear). If I am correct, this might result in too much understeer.Originally posted by decipher

Since you have a 93 corolla, the shocks will be too soft for the new springs. If you are on a budget, you can use the shocks from the 98-99 corolla gli, these are stiffer than the ones in the 93 corolla.

alam ko is kyb gas shocks pati lowering springs.. dont settle with taiwan made springs like R1..
bro, pano ko kaya i rp yung harap ko taos yung likod same height lang? may idea ba kayo pano ginagawa un? gusto ko kse medyo naka subsob ng onti yung harapan. tsaka san kaya ko makakuha ng spring na 2 lang? yung para lang sa harap? yung shocks ba eh pede bilhin ng 2 lang din? pano ko setup yung oto in such a way na drop yung harap tapos yung likod same height? salamt pasensya na kung medyo hirap ko kausap! hehehe.. sabi ko nga kay odell hindi ako maglolowerings dati eh. nagulat nalang nasabi ko lowerings na ko kasi di ko makayanan ang tagtag.... and katakot kasi baka dumami pa problema ko kapag putol
