    lowering a vehicle's height by heating the spring is worst because the strength of the heated portion is affected. Its now weak and can actually SNAP-OFF at anytime.

    galing lang ako sa wheelers suspension haus last saturday and may mga nagpapalowered ng oto....na pinapaputol pa rin yung springs..

    dami na ko nabasa na threads na kapag "putol" ang springs, nakakasira ng shocks, suspension etc.

    ..pero bakit tuloy pa din? mukang may pera naman yung may-ari bat di sya bumili ng lowering springs kung gusto nya mababa di ba? kung di sya masaya e di balik nya yung stock tapos benta nya yung lowering springs..malamang dami bibili nun.

    what's your views pipol?

    Cost cutting the wrong way. Baka gusto muna nila mag experiment? Then tsaka gagatusan ng lowering springs pag napansin nilang mali yung ginawa nila.

    depende naman sa kotse..yung iba kasi (stock) medyo mababa na sila.( mga honda) kaya pag lowered nila..maporma na. yung iba kasi, laki ng fender gap..pag-lowered nila..parang mataas pa rin yung ride.(like altis). kaya pinuputol nila yung springs.

    cut or without cutting the lowering springs.da best talaga, pag-lowered mo sabay na palit ng sport shocks.

    lapit na rin ako magpalit ng Bilstein Sport Shocks, di ko na hihintayin pang bumigay yung stock kong shocks.;)

    nagtitipid yung driver ng auto. But honestly, I also went thru the same thing but its because I couldn't wait for my springs to arrive from aboard.

    okay na yan lower nila...kesa naman sa tukod..!!!

    sa europe, hinuhuli mga naka-lowered gabi gabi..tas ung putol springs nila..kinakalog lang ng pulis, natatanggal na.

    during the late 80's dumaan din ako sa ganito, pinaputol ko yung springs ng lancer boxtype ko then yung kuya ko pinaputol din niya yung sa galant niya, ayun pag nalubak ako ng malakas or dumaan sa medyo inclined na daan bahagyang nawawala sa pwesto yung springs at tumagtag ng di hamak yung ride. Kaya't after nun up to now stock ride height na lang ako.

    Basta't maporma... that's one thing that decided this IMO, then just add na matigas talaga mga ulo ng iba (no offense meant). I had a friend who cut his springs before. I told hime beforehand all the problems pero tinuloy pa rin. Nasira aagad yung shocks niya so he bought lwoering springs finally... I told him to use gas shocks to help control the added a spring rates a bit but he still insisted on getting OEM fluids, and from the casa at that... Go figure.:confused:

    Who'd you believe that there are folks who still cut their lowering springs? sabi-sabi ko nga wag nyo n lng kayang lagyan ng spring para sobrang dapa :D

    kasi sa atin mura ang labor and magpakabit din ng springs....so marami ang nagpapaputol na lang.

    subukan ninyo sa abroad magputol ng springs..bawat bisita sa mekaniko malupit ang bayad per hour kasi.

    sa atin negligible ang bayad sa mekaniko kaya kahit experiment muna puwede puwede pa.
