Case in point with my purchase last year for my FXT. Total Cost difference was around 7k+ between bank loan and casa low dp schere (2.214M vs 2.222M). Even if the bank offers free LTO and free chattel, the difference was around 60k+. I guess it was a no brainer so I took the low DP scheme. The big clincher was the big discount offered for the low DP scheme (250k).

I heard from a coworker who just made a reservation from a Subaru dealership and inquired from a bank.

Are you sure there's no chattel mortgage fee from the low DP scheme you availed last year? I never heard of a loan that never charges for chattel mortgage. Either you missed the breakdown on the loan or your SA did not inform you about it.

Wow that's what you call effort! I wonder how close he got to the price of an actual XT with all those mods.

Off-topic, that's a nice dashcam. What model is it?

I saw one being sold in Subaru Society and Subaru Club PH. You can also have it ordered and shipped. There are a few contacts in the Subaru community that can help you out.

Everything is covered in the all-in DP I made. Chattel mortgage is included as per the loan documentation but I did not have to pay it separate from the all-in DP.

What's new? I see a few of these on the road. Some Pinoys fancy body kits too much that it makes their cars look funny. You can see a ton of Civics being modded aesthetically to look like SIRs and Type Rs. Or Fiestas and Focus sporting body kits to look like Ford ST/RS cars.

You're looking at around 200k out there. Getting the 2.0i-P would have been a better idea. The XT is around 500k more expensive than the 2.0i-L.

You should have asked him to pop the hood to see the big intercooler of the FA20 or maybe ask him has he tried pushing the vehicle to 200+kmh at 8th speed in Sport# mode. hehehehe

Mura lang ng bumper atsaka rims ng XT.

If I had a base model Forester, I'd also change the rims to that of the XT because it simply looks better while still keeping the OEM look.

I wouldn't slap on an XT badge though, that's just too tacky and pretentious.

Motor Image charges 120k (new) for the 18" rims and tires of the 2.0i-P and XT.

By the way, jut, congrats on your engagement. Ano plan mong family vehicle na bilhin?

Saw them being sold for 17k for a set of 4 XT rims Evangelista when I was shopping for rims my Civic. I actually considered it. 😂

    Thanks bro! Miata. 😂

Haha but seriously, I was planning to get a Miata instead of a CUV since I don't really need the space. I grew up in a family of 3 kids and we were served just fine by compact sedans, so I expect my Civic to be up to the task should the time come.

Then I decided not to buy a new car altogether and just use my extra money to shorten my loan duration.

The stock Bridgestone Dueler HL/400 225/55/R18 tires are quite pricey. Local dealers are asking 14k for each tire and need to be ordered. The alternative Dueler H/P Sport are readily available but sold at 16k each.

17k for a set of the FXT rims is already a good price. There was one guy in SFX FB group who sold his set with tires for 25k and it was scooped up fast.

The Fiesta works just fine with my wife and daughter for city commutes. However, when we are travelling, its interior space is seriously compromised. Wives never travel light. Hehehe

SA - Alabang says the 40k discount is available on all payment schemes.

Hanggang kailan daw promo sa Alabang?

Medyo nanghihinayang ako kasi 1 oras matapos kong iabot yung cheque sa Manila Bay, nagbigay ng mas magandang offer yung isang SA sa Subaru Lipa.
