Thank you for all your replies! Am still waiting for the response of MMPC, pero 3 days na wala pa rin. I wrote them a letter thru email last January 3. Naka stipulate naman sa ating green service booklet na they will try to answer all our queries for not more than 10 days. Hopefully!
I'm going to confront my dealer after the official reply of MMPC regarding the I supposed OLD memo my dealer is using to shorten their responsibility by superseding the MMPC standard 3 years (100k km) warranty.

yes, the body has a warranty of 3 years/unlimited mileage which has existed since 1991 with Mitsubishi's well known 8-dip Zero Rust with CEDP- even to this day- my 1997 Space Wagon doesn't show any signs of rust. we just had to have a washover due to the scratches and minor dents it had.
truly, MMPC has some major major clarification and alignment session (with the dealers) to do.

January 6th, 2011 01:25 PM #467After reading the documents in a bigger format, it seems that the memo/document they give is not updated. It emphasize 2003 date manufactured. It's already 2011, L200 name is not used anymore in the Philippines, its "Strada" although we know its L200 pa rin.
My opinion, the SA wasnt trained well and the dealership in his town, still is old school. They are using documents that is outdated and giving wrong information to their customers.
ang mahirap din is, what if their service personnel are trained also the old way, patay, hindi nila alam na CRDI na ang Strada and not old school Diesel Engine.
Sir Zirculs, I wouldn't worry sir, your warranty is good for 3 years/ 100,000KM whichever comes first.
Stupid lang mga tao sa dealership where you got your car.

January 7th, 2011 01:02 PM #474I got a call from the service operations manager of avescor iloilo just this morning confirming the 3 years or 100,000 kms whichever comes first warranty of the strada 4x2 variant. MMPC might have forwarded my concern to them.
Sir av8or5 you're right, the service operations manager point out that there was communication lapses on the part of their sales department. According to him, the letter was indeed outdated and should have not given to me. (but, I even confronted the SA during that time but she insisted on the 2 years warranty as written on the letter)

Anyway, atleast for now my "fear" of a lesser quality pick up truck fades away.

I was confident that you would win this because MMPC's warranty coverage is NATIONWIDEST!
That letter is super-duper outdated!!!
They should have known about this warranty policy since the Strada's local launch in September 2006. Moreover, this warranty was first seen at the 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6! It could also be a proof that MMPC official might not be visitng the dealer to oversee their operations... hmmm...
But nonetheless, glad to know that you are smiling now and here is hoping you can hop onboard TSCP.
