    ang aga naman nito

the next big news before school starts next june or september (whichever the case n=may be) would be the result of sen pia cayetano's call to put to a stop the infamous and draconian residency rules the uaap board has formulated

Why would the senate meddle with such trivial matter? Well then again it is the Philippine senate. So kung san pwde sumawsaw, dun sila. Daming mas urgent dun bakit panghihimasukan nila?

^^ i think it's ok for cayetano to dip her fingers in this unfortunate controversy after all if there are people out there institutionalizing the strangulation of one's birth right to make a choice and to ultimately improve one's life, then there's something fundamentally wrong about that kind of board ruling (i actually find it ironic that this policy was concocted by educators).

mukha siyang trivial nga at first glance, but in the larger scheme of things, a basic right is being trampled upon here.

besides, i've read that she's the chairperson of the senate's committee on youth, women, and family relations so i guess this concern of hers shared by parents and student-athletes alike is right up her alley

More news: Eagles enlist another blue-chip rookie | Sports, News, The Philippine Star | philstar.com

Looks like the pressure is on the head coach and the coaching staff now to ensure a return, at the very least, to the Final Four for the Senior Men's Basketball Team.

^ as good as the local talents ateneo has snagged in the recent months (javelosa, ravena, tolentino, apacible, dolinguez, go, cani ( still dicey due to the possibility of NU not giving him his release) and another tall but raw young kid from luzon), the fil-fors that dlsu and the other universities (reportedly) have recruited are legit mansters which may probably stymie the final four aspirations of the blue eagles anew.

so w/ the primo competition the boys from loyola heights will face in season 77, they will have to play w/ a lot of heart and a hole bunch of grit to be able to pass through the proverbial eye of the needle to get to the semis next season. and of course, lady luck will have to smile their way to avoid those costly injuries w/c may derail their campaign for respectability.

it would've been a big loss for the ateneans considering the dearth of college-ready-basketball-playing-young-big-men-available in the country nowadays
