dont fret mga LA fanbois. roman was not built overnight.

with new players, system and coach...let them get use to everything malaki adjustment talaga eh.

the real problem I see with Lakers eh yun second team nila. parang yun first five pag pinahingan parang *** nilabasan ka na at wala ng gana yuns sdcond five, masyadong malayo yun skill level ng first five to second team...
Ganito rin naman nangyari sa heat kaya sinabi ni king james na roman not built overnight. Pag ok na chemistry nila surebol makikita na ang tunay na depth ng lineup nila. IMO

^ Oo nga, I was surprised myself. I would prefer Sloan or Shaw sana if not Phil.

Si Jackson Marami daw conditions, like travel restriction...gusto niya limited yata Ang road games na sasama siya, so doesn't sense to get him back, buti sana king PBA Lang na bibihira road games.

But seems D'antoni is a player's coach but can he handle big ego players? Kobe, meta, Dwight...

Saka good luck na Lang Sa run and gun system niya...mga lolo na players niya.

Rajon Rondo, Kris Humphries, and Gerald Wallace all ejected for fighting in Celtics-Nets game (VIDEO)

In the past weeks, Boston Celtics star point guard Rajon Rondo has been the topic of some controversy for his streak of double-digit assist games. In the eyes of some, Rondo has been changing his style of play to keep the streak going. For others, that's inconsequential given that players gun for milestones all the time. No matter the opinion, it's hard to watch Rondo these days without keeping the streak in mind.

On Wednesday night, Rondo ended the streak in ignominious fashion. With fewer than 30 seconds remaining in the first half of the Celtics' home game against the Brooklyn Nets, Kris Humphries fouled Kevin Garnett on a jumper, after which Garnett sold the contact and fell back into the first row of seats (and cameramen) along the baseline. Rondo, who was near the hoop, immediately grabbed and shoved Humphries. More players got involved, including the Nets' Gerald Wallace (who ran a fair distance to jump in, via Matt Moore), the Celtics' Brandon Bass, and a late-arriving Garnett.

[Related: Photos from the Celtics-Nets fight]

Rondo, Humphries, and Wallace were all ejected, and all three — plus a few more of the participants — can expect certain fines and possible suspensions in the next few days. Rondo finished with only three assists in 18 minutes, bringing his streak to an end at 37 games, which ties him at second all-time with John Stockton. Magic Johnson will continue to hold the record at 46 games. (Oh, and the Celtics lost 95-83.)

As Y!'s Marc Spears noted on Twitter, Rondo adores KG as if he were his big brother, so it's not terribly surprising that he'd stick up for his teammate. In the process, he also helped ensure that his team would lose and that a notable personal streak would end. I guess we learned that there's at least one thing Rondo considers more important than his personal stats.

It's a stupid move by pop, bwisit! Will he also do it if they're playing in San Antonio?

It's too early in the season to rest the old guys. Kalokohan!

^ 6th game kasi in 9 nights. Also he has done this before. Pacing the veterans is a very sound and logical strategy. http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/pos...-those-players

Kaso, may backlash from NBA. This time masyado daw madami pinapahinga.

But IMHO the decision of the SAS is okay since this is not a make or break game. Too early to tell if this will have dire consequences. Yeah some people paid Premium from TV to coliseum tickets to see the stars play and some even travelled but look at the game naman. It was "sulit" IMO. SAS almost kicked Miami's butt.

Still it's up to the team to decide. Stern IMO just seems to be waving his big stick on this one.

Again resting of players is not a bad move. It has been done before. If there is no concrete rule on this, then Stern should make one that majority of NBA teams should at least agree. Pacing by definition itself means is EVEN spreading of an athletes strength during the course of the competition so they don't burn up in the end. So yeah, by definition what Pop did is within his jurisdiction. They have also won 5 in a row in their trip. Unlike some teams that cant even make the .500 mark.

And again, the game itself proves competitive. One can see the value of a very well-coached team.

If he played them for a couple of minutes and rest them for the rest of the game, I'll have a different view but theyre not even in the bench.

And again it's too early in the season

^ If they play just 2 mins in the game. Then parang ganun din maging reklamo ni Stern. His main contention kasi is fans need to see star players play.

Until there is no accepted rule/policy on this, Stern in overstepping his boundary IMO. He runs the league, not the team itself If Pop rests his players every 15 games, in an 82-game season that's just 5-6 intended missed games. That is just 7%. Not too much to ask a guy who has played 10 or more seasons including a lot in the postseason and international games pa like Tim, Tony & Manu.

I just hope that before Stern label anymore fines, he should at least finish what they (NBA & owners) tried to discuss in 2012. tagal na pala niya gusto na remedyuhan yan hinintay pa ngayon. Plus it is well know how Stern hates Pop and SAS even when they were winning titles because of their boring "kuno" na game. hehe

Without the Spurs' stars, Stern was selling that the NBA logo had been desecrated, that a public trust had been betrayed.
this is the notion of stern.

in a way tama rin sya, daming spurs fan na disappointed siguro lalo na yung nanood ng live. imagine yung favorite player mo ay pinauwi para lang magpahinga to get them ready for the next game?

kung si timmy lang at manu baka pwede pa... yung isa yata ay 25 yrs old lang
