FDA rejects health claim for green tea

Makes you wonder that many traditional Chinese/Japanese "medicines" are actually a form of faith-healing. The labels on the bottles saying it will cure this and that, puts a suggestion on people's minds that the body will respond to the suggestion and so it cures itself, eventhough these "medicines" are almost similar to placebo.

Sabi nga ni Jesus dun sa batang merong leprosy, "Go forth my child, your faith has made you well". (Para sa mga Christians lang ito ha)

personally I buy C2 & One simply because they taste good & have a refreshing taste.

i think its more on the branding, like a news is published that c2 uses green tea which has these lots of benefit, so they go after the trend, yet this publicity tend to under rate the effects of green tea, the challenge point is how c2 could retain its market, thay had made a good entry, so if pipol like the taste of c2, well and good they cud sustain the market demand after a negative publicity

a publicity whether neagtive or positive is still a publoicity and pipol will talk about it,often times the plan of a company is to make a negtative write ups first, then gossipers will talk about it, so theres a range in media output, after which the company will release a counter claim(planned, i suppose) to regain whatever a bad write up has created=)

i think the supposed health benefits are what hooks us at the start -- then the taste/sweetness makes sure we *stay* hooked

C2? Healthy? With all that sugar? I tried C2 lite and there were so many additives in it, it made my pee hurt (usually, it takes a strong softdrink to do that).

I stick to drinking Gatorade than drinking C2.

C2's healthy claim is so funny, but people buy into advertising so much dito anyway hehe.
