*Horsepower: yes sir! If I remember correctly, I managed to download a ~500 MB file (it's a VM appliance from a partner's site) in about 7 minutes, despite the server on the other end having some cap on their bandwidth (FF is showing around 1.2 to 1.3 MB download only).![]()
No problem with his line. Check out his next post the ping is down to just 28ms. The reason why the ping is very high when pinging the Manila speedtest server from a PLDT connection is politics. Manila speedtest server is operated by BTI Philippines.
Our ISPs kasi instead of promoting inter-operability, walang connection to each other. So if you're a PLDT user wanting to connect to a BTI connected server or PC, say for some gaming action your traffic is routed all the way out to singapore, taiwan, japan or australia before coming back. Very funny if you have a neighbor on a different ISP and try a traceroute to each other.
Technically it doesn't...internet speed really depends on the bandwidth/speed subscription that you have. For DSL subscription, when you subscribe to 1.3Mb it doesn't mean you really get 1.3Mb but instead you have a bursting of 1.3Mbps.meaning your internet speed can go as high as 1.3mbps but your not getting 1.3mbps in reality...
actually, you just have to divide 1.3mbps to get the real speed, by 8.
ang lakas pala ng signal dyan ng smartbro mo. hesitant kase ako na kunin yung smartbro dahil 2yrs yung lockin period at wala pa akong makitang review dun sa lugar namin sa pampanga.
well, i believe a wired connection is definitely better than a wireless one. that, plus 5 years of heartache with this service. my connection is ok now, i just don't know how long it's going to be this way.
a bit slow this morning, but maybe that's because i was *******ing at the same time.
