Waiting for my Christmas gift to arrive early this year.
"popcorn" aka OB is exactly the kind of people who gives DLSR photographers a bad rep... pauso-uso peeps who simply use their DLSR cameras as fashion accessories.

For those saying your camera-phone is as good as a DLSR, can your phone take a picture equal or better than this? Yes or No.

as of now cam phones are not as good as a DSLR.. but due to demand, engineers might find a way to have phones equipped with DLSR quality cameras....
when the first hand held cellular phone was introduced, nobody did think that there would come a time that cameras will be a standard equipment on cell phones.. now cam phones have evolved and sometimes they take pictures as good as a point and shoot camera..
The only way for a phone-cam to get DLSR quality photos is opposite the trend in smartphones. The trend in smartphones is making it thinner and thinner. Having DLSR quality photos from a smartphone will result in the device getting as bulky as a micro 4/3 camera. You cannot hide the fact that you will need a big sensor with a big lens assembly.
At best, a smartphone can only do digital zoom because smartphones cannot have optical zoom and still have the slim profile everyone likes smartphones to have.
I was just waiting for someone to post that accessory.
Ok, then let me see you pocket that monster as-is.... or are you just happy to see me?
And so... can you take a photo (with your iphone + rollie lens kit) of the moon equal or better than the shot I took with my digital camera? Of course not because at best its just par with P&S cameras with 4x optical zoom costing only around P6,000 with a device costing P30,000 plus whatever the price is for that pointless accessory.

IMO. A cam phone won't be able to replace a dedicated camera like a DSLR. Kaya nga may camera at may phone, kanya kanyang forte. If you put both in one device, expect one of the functionalities to suffer.
If ever I want to shoot a good photo, may sapat naman nang abilities yung Sony cam ko although syempre mas quality talaga ang photos ng SLR.
OT na.![]()

You can learn slowly. I started learning by using a simple point & shoot camera and some basic instructions (watching some tv shows that teach photography helped). Later when I felt I have outgrown it's features, I went to a more sophisticated camera (Canon Powershot SX210is). It's still a point&shoot but with much more manual controls to learn how to make the best photos in different environments.
ako ngaun, ganyan mga kasama ko naka-DSLR mapa-binyag, wedding, or any other get together. ganda ng pics ko tapos sila na upload tag pa nila. parang walang kahirap-hirap no effort. tapos gusto gusto pa nila ako piktyuran coz I look good on camera with my fit body
