IMHO for home users that dont print often, HP is the best in the long run. if you dont print often, there is a larger chance of ink solidifying and clogging. if you cannot unclog/clean it then your printer is a paperweight.

HP has replacable ink heads so a clogged nozzle can be replaced easily

Mas matipid sya sa ink parang 1000 pages yata bago mauubos ink nya kahit colored and mas mura ink ng CIS.

Saw this at Octagon SM, 250 pesos per ink cartridge, malaki yung size ng cartridge, replace only the color that ran out. Red, blue, yellow, black yata yung bala.

EPSON L110 is around P5,800 with one set of ink bottles (black, blue, red, yellow). The older L100 is currently sold at P5,500 with two black extra black ink bottles. It sounds like a nice bargain BUT you have to consider the slow printing speed of the L100. Personally, I would get the L110 because of the faster print speed.

Just store them in the cloud ... Google Drive and iCloud ... if you want, also save a copy on Yahoo and Gmail ... that way you have multiple backups ... they're free anyway ...

I'm technologically challenged, I don't know google drive and iCloud but I really prefer the hard copy and my Mom also wants the hard copy. Hassle na rin kasi to request the bank for a hard copy and now they want me to pay for it

The problem with inkjets eh you have to use it constantly. Nakakailang inkjet na kami na pag di nagamit ng ilang buwan eh natutuyo ang ink at bumabara at nasisira. it's like we are spending 3k to 4k every time we need to print.

Thats why we switched to laser printer. the cheapest we found is Fujitsu. 12k only. wifi enabled. it has all the bells and whistles of network printer. and the most important part eh hindi nasisira kahit ilang buwan di gamitin.

Turn on the printer 3 times a week ... plus it needs to be plugged in so there is electricity that keeps that inks moist ...

Yung laser printers ang mahal ng cartridge. If printer lang very competitive with inkjets. Pero once you run out of toner, presyong printer na. For the colored ones, multiply several times pa. Note that number of prints per cartridge sa laser vs ink is not even near competitive. Kung cost of entry at price per page lang panalo pa rin ink jet. If you would still opt to go the laser printer route for low end, best yung monochrome if acceptable ang limitation. Sa inkjet, pag orig ink, pigment yan mostly if hindi ciss. Oil based. So no need to worry about it drying out and clogging. If concern pa din at sigurista, place the printer away from direct sunlight/cool location away from windows. Resistant din sa smudges. Ang natutuyo yung dye na water based. Canon nasa cartridge ang print head kaya mahal. Hp too if im not mistaken. Epson ang print head separate sa cartidge. Same sa Brother. So if inkjet route, i'd suggest epson.

Not all models ... only the cheaper, lower end models have their print heads along with the ink cartridges ... higher models have separate heads ... the ink cartridges of higher models are cheaper ...

HP at Epson pa lang nasusubukan ko. SO far mas maganda features nang HP sa same class na 3 in 1 printers. Pero mas reliable at so far mas matipid yung Epson.

    - low volume printing; i hardly print anything except when i need to file application/documents
    - low cost ink replacement
    - print head doesn't get clogged up due to non-usage
    - normal size paper
    - 5k or below
    - WiFi is ideal but optional

i'm leaning towards HP, but am open to try those with individual ink cartridges. Basta dapat lalabas na mas mura yung ink replacement. Thanks

    i have a brother dcp-j100 .
it has individually replace-able ink cartridges.
coming from a 3-in-1 hp with very small integrated ink cartridges, this new one is very cheap to use.
