ken block is a good stunt driver but he's a bad professional race car driver. he should stick to stunt driving instead of racing.

My sentiments exactly. Every time I see someone in total awe with the Gymkhana vids, I remind them about his lackluster performance when compared to the likes of Sebastian Loeb.

Hey... he had a flat tire in that race. And he still finished in second place, in front of the six other guys who didn't crash out.

Block hasn't done well in WRC, but he's not a full-time driver. In Rally America, he's had decent results, but no championships.

And nobody... I mean... nobody compares to Sebastian Loeb... period.

i'm sure it was converted to RWD since doing a proper drift on an awd car is pretty much next to impossible.

anyway what he does on his "gymkhana" videos, any pro driver can do it. heck there are even amateur videos on youtube that's much better than KB's videos.

Yup, he's a good stunt driver, but there's another caveat. It took 4 days to shoot this 9 min. video. That means lots of allowance for retakes, car substitutions (I bet there was more than 1 stunt car), repairs, re-do set-ups, etc. Add great editing and you get a fantastic video that gives the impression that the entire action happens in 9 mins, 52 sec.
