According to aviation experts, majority of passengers actually becomes unconscious upon sudden impact on water. Much like boxers getting knocked out by a single punch ala Hatton ( ah i remember those days when Pacman used to be a bulldozer, ngayon di na). According to the Robredo family spokesperson, Robredo is an excellent swimmer. kung hindi siya unconscious after impact, im betting he could be alive.

The aide naman has 2 conflicting stories, 1. nandun pa sa seat si robredo after impact. 2. wala sa seat si Robredo.

My take on this, nasa upuan pa si Robredo pero unconscious. The aide did not do his best to extract Robredo from his seat and he saved himself first. There was a picture of the Aide being interviewed by Pnoy himself sa hospital bed. Baka natakot siya na sabihing nasa upuan pa si Robredo pero hindi niya nagawang tanggalin sa upuan

Im hoping for the best pa rin... Im still hopeful that the good secretary is still alive. For some reason that i could not fully understand, im emotionaly affected. Well i guess its because Robredo is a rarity among Pinoy politicians who puts country first then self tapos mawawala pa. Pinag tataka ko lang ayon sa News.. tumawag na sa tower na mag emergency landing.. dapat SOP na mag abang na sila sa airport for the worse case scenario.. parang wala yata kasi, to think na 150mts lang ang layo sa airport ng crash site.. then after 20mins na rescue yung aid.. so more than 30mins na ng naka bagsak ang plane para mapuntahan ng rescue team .. for 150mts offshore ganon ba tagal mapuntahan??? ano yon lumangoy lang sila? I cant imagine it happens sa VIP na pasahero di lalo na kung common citizen lang ang sakay baka next day pa hanapin yon.

Nag iba ang kwento na narrative ni aide. I'm saying I haven't heard the aide's narrative but the relay of the narrative changed. That plane and Sec. must be found and thoroughly investigated.

First relay, the aide was thrown out of the plane and a wing was torn off
Second, the aide was actually pulling the unconscious Sec's hand, tried unbuckling the Sec. to no avail so he saved himself
Third, the aide lost consciousness, regained with water at neck level, tried to feel for the Sec but can't find him so he forced himself out of a mangled opening

I wonder if the narratives directly came from the aide. Yesterday, fishermen, town mayor, military were there. The aide immediately went with the sar after being rescued. Today, naga mayor, councillors, family of the Sec went there.

Early morning I heard a radio reporter stating the plane crash landed 500 kilometers from the runway. Could it have crash landed at Taal lake? Nope a fisherman (or men, I didn't hear how many) with a bangka 150 meters near the runway was almost hit by the descending plane and consequently rescued the aide.

Wala sakanilang dalawa tumalon. Sabi sa news, when the plane was crashing they both ensured that they were strapped on to their seats. Then nawalan sila malay, nagising yung aid then my previous post happened.

Sadly, this is what i also see also.

The general sentiment is a lot of people were really saddened to hear the news given his track record as a decent person and civil servant.

If any, may this be a turning point as well that we have to improve on our emergency response capabilities to such incidents given that air traffic in this country continues to grow. The first few minutes and hour of response is very critical to save lives.

Just to add, those stupid bloggers/comments are quite irritating. Pag dating kay Pnoy, damned if you do, damned if you don't.
