    Monkey see, monkey do.

When people in power commit graft blatantly and get away with it, then ordinary people follow suit. Kaya magulo ang bansa, kanya-kanya kasi ang iniisip. But if people in power strictly start implementing anti-graft laws, and actually send people to jail (without pardon!), unti-unti, mawawala ang kabalbalan.

I cant fight city hall forever

ngaun pag tao kausap ko by the book or hindi corrupt, swerte kasi wala na ako kelangan ilabas pa. all I have to do is to praise him or to commend him, kuha ko na kagad gusto ko. mas masarap talaga makipag-deal sa hindi corrupt. they're so easy

I'd say change the system, change our nation. I'm referring to the pork barrel system so coveted by congressmen, senators, up to the president. It's just too conducive to corruption. Its unaccountability is the karma or spirit that permeates all levels of government from the president down to lowly clerk or barangay kagawad. Why would a typical politician risk life savings, even borrow from relatives, friends and the devil himself to land an elected position? To serve the country and the citizens? Or is it the for the payback? How many times the investment? Do the math.
