There is an existing electric car for sale in the Philippines "Pag-Asa" of G-Car Motors http://gcarmotors.com/ yun nga lang mukhang mas nalampasan ata REVAi with regenerative braking & aircon models. For sure malaki din ang agwat ng price ng dalawa. However, being a fellow filipino I hope the "Pag-Asa" survives the competition & takes the challenges head on, keeping focus on their visions.

The REVA is the same vehicle known as the G-Wiz in the UK.
The main problem is the high SRP price based on earlier inquiries (P900K) due to taxes, etc.
If the government would exempt this car from taxes and other import duties, it might actually have a good chance in getting a place in the local personal transport market.

The G-car would probably outprice it, anyway... even without duties, that's probably already 600-700k for a mere two seater. The G-car may be anywhere between 250-350k.

Based on the website:
http://www.goingreen.co.uk/store/content/gwiz_techspec
It is claimed to be a four seater (as long as those sitting in the back do not have legs).

Was able to visit the ECO Exhibit this weekend at SMX Mall of Asia and I found this!
They said it will be priced at around 500K-600K PHP (Tax Exclusive)
*They're hoping for tax incentives.
SPECS:
Range: 80kms.
Charge: Home Charger 8 hours
Top Speed: 80 kph
I was able to drive it around. Seems okay. Calculated the mileage, it's cheaper than public transportation.iam3739.com
I think the problem is A/T has been co-opted by some brands that aren't really A/T, so...
