There is an existing electric car for sale in the Philippines "Pag-Asa" of G-Car Motors http://gcarmotors.com/ yun nga lang mukhang mas nalampasan ata REVAi with regenerative braking & aircon models. For sure malaki din ang agwat ng price ng dalawa. However, being a fellow filipino I hope the "Pag-Asa" survives the competition & takes the challenges head on, keeping focus on their visions.
The REVA is the same vehicle known as the G-Wiz in the UK.
The main problem is the high SRP price based on earlier inquiries (P900K) due to taxes, etc.
If the government would exempt this car from taxes and other import duties, it might actually have a good chance in getting a place in the local personal transport market.
The G-car would probably outprice it, anyway... even without duties, that's probably already 600-700k for a mere two seater. The G-car may be anywhere between 250-350k.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Based on the website:
http://www.goingreen.co.uk/store/content/gwiz_techspec
It is claimed to be a four seater (as long as those sitting in the back do not have legs).![]()
Was able to visit the ECO Exhibit this weekend at SMX Mall of Asia and I found this!
They said it will be priced at around 500K-600K PHP (Tax Exclusive)
*They're hoping for tax incentives.
SPECS:
Range: 80kms.
Charge: Home Charger 8 hours
Top Speed: 80 kph
I was able to drive it around. Seems okay. Calculated the mileage, it's cheaper than public transportation.![]()

600K + taxes?
It's sure to fail.
At that price, you can buy a Vios or Getz. No issue with electricity and you don't have to wait for 8hrs to start using it again.
If you wanna save fuel and the environment, you can buy a Hyundai Getz CRDI or Accent CRDI and get 20+ kms per liter.
This is the car that Topgear UK bombed into flames right?
P500K to P600k is too expensive for a small two seater eco-mobile for everyday people to consider buying. Not to mention, people will be worried to death about getting run over by all motor vehicles larger than a Suzuki Jimny when you drive it on the roads like EDSA.

*250k this car would be a killer...*500k to 600k this car would be killing its potential buyer hehehe
We will just have to wait for the TATA Nano to arrive in the Philippines.
Too expensive pa rin for me.
BTW, anong battery technology ang gamit nyan? malamang lead-acid.
Magkano ba ang electric golf cart? hehehehehe. for price comparison lang. :D
In London, nasa 500K din sya.
The company is planning to lease a limited number of cars. No idea how much...

These guys are alive?
It's been a long time since I've heard about this project. Last I heard the asking price was around 800-900k (tax inclusive)... which is why they were having problems marketing it.
500-600k is still too much. Other small electrics are selling for around 250-450k pesos. My dad's 8-seater cost just 350k. Sure, it has no doors or AC, but still...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
WHAT!? is this still the price of that freaking REVAi?
napakamahal naman for a 2seater (+2super sikip rear seats)! and i thought na ang price lang niyan would range from 3xx-5xx, hindi pala. nakakadismaya namang price yan. natipuhan ko pa naman kamakailan lang nung nakita ko in flesh last sat sa mias..
anybody here know ano po specs and features ng car na yan dito sa pinas? baka po kasi may nawala at nadagdag aside dun sa nabasa ko sa reva na site sa india yata. sayang kasi di na test drive ng friend ko to along with the great wall cars..
what does the Gcar look like BTW?
900,000 for this tiny car???
How much gas do you save in a year, only about P25t!!!
They are crazy for bringing in this car at this price.
